I met Kyle Gass and Lee (both of Tenacious D fame) after a Trainwreck concert. Lee was awesome. Kage was completely baked.

I actually handed him my ticket and a pen for an autograph, then realized that as soon as he signed my ticket, I'd get shuffled out of the way so the people behind me in line could meet him, so I told him I wanted to shake his hand. He looked down at the ticket in one hand, and the pen in the other, and had no earthly idea how he could possibly shake my hand, so I took the pen back, shook his hand, and he signed my ticket. Then, he completely forgot that it wasn't his paper, so he started doodling on it. Now, I have a ticket signed by all five members of Trainwreck, including a doodle of a smiley face with really big ears by Rage Kage.

Other than that, I talked to Toby Keith on the phone for about two seconds, though that doesn't really count.

I met Gus from Rooster Teeth and Tom & Matt of ASDFL movies/Eddsworld internet fame, they may not count as 'famous' though.

I wanted to meet Jonathon Young (Nicola Tesla from Sanctuary) at a convention but he wasn't even there despite being on the guest list ¬_¬

There's a local genre festival we get down here in Montreal every summer called Fantasia. There I usually manage to introduce myself to a few personal heroes before they get whisked off to speak in front of the audience about the film that's about to be watched and whatnot.

I've met-

Udo Kier
Stuart Gordon and Jeffrey Combes
Tom Savini

...and a few other people who aren't coming readily to mind...OH! Tak Sakaguchi....Uhm, there are others, I'm sure! :p

I've also met Amanda Palmer. She was about as fucking fabulous as her music would lead one to expect.

To reiterate who I've met:
Jim Lee (Marvel Artist at the time)
Stan Lee (You should know who he is)
Chester Bennington (Linkin Park - He was picking up an online order when I was working at Best Buy)
Dustin Diamond (Screech from Saved By the Bell - He was doing a comedy show on my campus)
James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins at the time - After a concert)
Shirley Manson (Garbage - I did an interview with her for my College TV station) - She was awesome.
My Uncle is famous in my book for being in that Adam Sandler Movie Little Nicki - Chinese Florist.
Thank your good sir or madam....

But I can forgive. It is OP's first thread afterall, so I suppose no harm no foul.

My friend's dad is the most popular broadcaster in Detroit, so there's that. (The Hall of Shame on Fox 2, that guy).

Also, because of this friend, I met the guy that plays the closet gay football player in Glee and Alexa Nikolas (from Zoey 101) during filming for a zombie B-movie. I got to be a zombie! Woohoo! I won't spoil which, but one of these two ends up being eaten by zombies, and I'm one of the zombies doing it.

Other than that, I've met a couple of singers outside of shows, like both the lead singer and guitarist of Mindless Self Indulgence and a couple of people from Hollywood Undead, but just for signatures and stuff.

I met myself once. It was pretty amazing.
You just won a cookie, sir.

Like I said in my thread *cough*, I met Larry Seinfeld at a 5 Guys Burgers & Fries a few weeks ago.

For you politically savvy folks-I met Noam Chomsky at a talk. Also, I took a class with Howard Zinn. And I had lunch with Cindy Sheehan.

Proof or it didn't happen. That's a pretty big claim, Captain Picard doesn't break the Prime Directive often.
Assuming you're not going to come and start stalking around my village, sure.

The area he lives in is inside the border of the moor my uncle manages, so we've interacted with him quite a bit over the years. We cleared out a rabbit infestation for him a few months ago.

Drank with Craig Robinson. Beat me in a drinking contest, and we came this close to doing karaoke. But then we had to take him back to his hotel.

I did security for those guys from that TV show The Buried Life too. Cool guys, but jesus try being security for three guys getting mobbed by hormonal teenagers.

Then I also met the new Voice of Finland Mikko Sipola today actually, was as a Steward/Bouncer (not sure that's the correct word) at his concert.
If you'd like to listen how he sings here's his new single.

That might be the least amazing way to interact with Patrick Stewart I have ever heard.
It was an example. As I said, he's a family friend, but also technically a tenant on my uncle's moor, so there are certain duties that come with that.

Anyway, it's certainly better than any Patrick Stewart story you can drum up from personal experience.

Christopher Lee, Terry Pratchett, Sean William Scott and Michael Moore all came to speak at my university this year. And I got to try on Terry Pratchett's hat!

Any British fellas' remember Dick and Dom? I was on their TV show when I was a younger, talked to them in the cafe they take you to before the filming, good guys. Shame they don't get around as much today.

Hey, I was just joking around. No need to point out my inadequate number of "meeting Patrick Stewart" stories. Makes me feel insecure.
The incredibly ill-thought out reality TV show filmed here that I had to bear witness to certainly subtracts from the awesomeness of it, so don't feel bad.

Don't worry, Patrick Stewart wasn't involved at all. Though retrospectively, he could have single handedly made it good.
