Once, a girl at my university saw my "Jag läser yaoi utan att skämmas" button ("I read yaoi without being ashamed of it") and we started talking. She mentioned some yaoi anime she'd seen on the web, and I said:

"Where was it? What adress?"

"But didn't you say your attention span was too short for anime, and that you only read manga?"

"Sure, but it's a different story if there are good-looking guys in it!" I never actually said I was gay, and I thought it'd be a bit ridiculous to say "I'm not gay!" when I'd never said I was in the first place, so I didn't say so until after a while when the subject came up. But I've never actually claimed to be gay.

I mentioned occasionally that I thought I might be into girls to make guys go:

O_O

"That's hot"

For the lolz, but now I think I really am bisexual. :3

I have to say, it's awesome. I want a girlfriend, like, now.

People in my school are never sure when it comes to me (Im straight) so i get infinite enjoyment out of making a lad shut up by hitting on him.

Well I might use a female character on a game ONLY because outfits look better IE, horrid mess of pixels but other then that I couldnt give two-shits who cracks onto me, man or women. if I dont like them I just say it. no need to pretend to say things like "Sorry im Gay/Straight" etc

I have, it's rather fun to see people's reactions. Me and two friends I had in high school would walk down the hall in a very over the top gay manner and since we have long hair, we would fling it.
I'm straight though.

i did often when i was yougner. i'm gay, but i was pretending to be straight, mostly. And being openly gay in high school is never a good idea. So my friends were asking me if this or this guy was cute and that i might be interrested in him, i pretended that yes, even if i was only looking cute girls :)

but as i grew up, i've did it less and less, even if i'm often evasive when it come to my sexual orientation with people that i'm not familiar with. Like when i get a new job, i will not put pictures of my wife on my desk, and if somebody ask if i'm married, i just say yes, without precision to whom i'm married.

I'm rather comfortable with my sexuality.
I have always found that phrase amusing, as nobody ever actually says what their sexuality is when they use it.
It is amusing indeed, and I can totally see your point, but I did specify that my sexual orientation was straight. Not outwardly but you can infer it from the context of the original post.

Was playing an MMO as a female character before and someone random male person started to follow me about flirting and such. Rather than correct him that i was actually male, i went along with it for a while as i was bored and seemed fun to wind up the poor guy. So in a way although not directly gay i spose this counts
I've done this on Omegle, leading to hilariously awkward moments near the end of the conversation, and I've also done it to creep out people that are trying to creep me out at the same time. Also, I've done this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH_TGLJ6sBA it surprisingly hasn't backfired on me yet.

I almost did, for the amusement factor of seeing how long it would take for the news to get round the workplace. I didn't in the end, since once started that little jape could never stop and it seemed too much like hard work to keep it going

I have in fact pretended to be of the opposite sex for trolling purposes on Omegle.

Well, not deliberately, but my way of talking has thrown off a few people at one time or another.

I'll have to remember this one. I had to use "I'm going to college so I don't think I'll be able to have a relationship with someone in your geographical location."

lolyes. It's almost the first thing I say when the conversation starts with "You're very beautiful you know" or "Do you have a boyfriend?". No, just go away, I'm an unsociable git and I don't want to talk to people :( Oooooh, there's my 'girlfriend'! I simply must be going, goodbye! BYE BYE, stop following me please...

Me and my best friend act gay with each other all the time just to fuck with people. Its best when we act like that in school just to mess with the teachers

Well I sometimes feel the need to creep my friends out by telling them I love them. But I wouldn't say I'm pretending to be gay, in fact I tell them there are many kinds of love besides sexual and they shouln't be so homophobic.

They continue to call me gay though.
