Nice- an ever-rare one-sentence Pwn. Congratulations.

And otherwise-- this to the letter, more or less.

Every british person you meet will tell you they haven't.

They're always going to be sore about that.

Yes.

(People have been hitting people with sticks for a long time. Being steamrolled by a gigantic war machine in two recent wars doesn't mean much. And besides they were part of the Allied powers, which won WWII, so they won those too.)

Napolean was Corsican. He spoke french with an accent that got him ridiculed by fellow officers.

Aside from the Napoleonic Wars, where France controlled pretty much all of Europe west of Russia, there was also the Thirty Years War, where France (under Richelieu) were the ones who finally defeated the Holy Roman Empire. And aside from those, there's the little known fact that England doesn't control any French territory any more...

The question was not "has a French person ever won a war for France?".

...so? Hitler was Austrian. Doesn't mean he didn't turn Germany into a war machine and steamroll a large chunk of Europe.

True but as emperor of France who lead the French armies to other nations and bring them under French dominion by Frenchmen, it counts for a victory for the French in France. French toast.

They did eventually get the British out with the help of a sixteen year old virgin who heard the the voice of God and was captured by the British and burned at the stake.

Corsica was encorporated into France in 1768, the year before Napoleon's birth. What's your point?

So wait, you asking if France, a country that has been existance for as far back as the Dark Ages and was once (and according to some opinions still is) one of the major super powers in Europe has, in it's entire history, ever won a war?

Tell me, does ignorance of this level cause your physical pain?

France has indeed won wars. To be occupied and to lose a war are two different things. France was on the allied side in both World Wars, so they did not lose either.
