After GTA 4:

- Wondering who is talking behind me but in case it is someone I despise I do not want to get their attention by turning around, so I tried to...I tried to control myself like as if I has a controller in my mind, and I tried to click the right stick in to look behind me.

After Gears of War (more specifically, after Act 2):

- Running through shadows and getting weird looks...because I thought the Kryll were after me.

After Fallout 3:

- Trying to save in my mind before I did something big. Every time. I was so obsessed.

Was playing mass effect, one of my all night gaming marathons, I dont recal the exact time but it was late, and the phone rang, I picked it up and I remember saying;

"Do you know anything about a Spectre called Saren"

I then realized I was speaking into the phone, and my immersion bubble burst, I was not a happy camper.

When my brother was little, we had an old-school Gameboy... he used to lean to the right when he wanted Mario to jump further. Immersion doesn't require fancy graphics, just a bit of imagination!

As I've said elsewhere, I've played IF games that have left me terrified of every sudden noise.
Also, after playing Prince of Persia, being unable to rewind my mistakes felt completely unfair!

I would love to say something like I attacked some crabs with a Crowbar, but I haven't.

I do prowl the house a lot making a gun shape with my fingers after playing FPSes though.

Back when I used to play WoW back in high school, I would stay up so late at night with so little sleep that I'd start hearing sound in-game sound effects in class.

In my government class, I heard the sound of an arrow flying, and rapped my friend in the shoulder (who played a Hunter) and asked "Did you fucking hear that? A few times I would hear the sound of a Rogue going into stealth, and I'd frantically whip my head around and look for the fucker.

I've witnessed a friend of mine play a really scary game, and at one part he freaked out and decked his screen so hard he knocked it off the desk and almost broke his hand. I probably shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did, but it was worth it.

closest thing I've done is while playing fallout 3, my dog walked into the room and stood next to he TV and without thinking i tried to turn my character to interact with it.

I always duck and weave with my character when I'm having them dodge or do fancy maneuvers. My sister makes fun of my royally for that.

After playing Star Wars Bounty Hunter forever, I walked around like I was holding pistols for weeks! XD Worth it. Very under rated game. =]

EPIC EDIT: I just remembered. After I got done with my Pokemon phase (from Red and Blue until the most recent ones), I would hear the front menu music of the game. You know, the Pokemon Theme MIDI? I still do from time to time... <<;

During Fallout 3 I was escorting Sticky to Big Town. To make him shut the fuck up, I put every single land mine I had next to him, and fired a mini-nuke at him. I then found his corpse after an hour and shot it with the Blackhawk for a couple of minutes.

I wasted 49 frag mines, 10 bottlecap mines, 3 plasma mines, a mini-nuke, and 67 .44 magnum bullets. All so that Sticky would shut up.
Sweet jebus, we have the biggest ammo dump against one person.

Mine wasn't me, but one of my friends after an AC binge tryed to climb a church, he jumped off, hoping there was a haystack >.> it was a low church though so he wasn't to bad <.<
Wtf? He didn't actually did the leap of faith did he?

There was the time I went for about 4 hours seeing my entire World Of Warcraft interface, except with different abilities, complete with icon and descriptions. I had 127 health and gained 2 levels.

Once, I was playing Thief Deadly Shadows with all the lights out when my mother snuck into my room, without me hearing a sound, and grabbed my shoulders. I think I lept a good 3 feet.

Slightly more nerdy, when our dry cleaning is delivered, it's left on our door with this hanger that looks vaguely like a crowbar. I picked it up, held it like Gordon Freeman did, and swung it around. Fortunately no one else was home at the time.

I once had a phase where I didn't play anything but Star Wars KOTOR (1&2) for about a fortnight. For about the following month I couldn't stop talking to people without saying something cryptic, and I kept thinking about "what a jedi would do" - which involved me paying for alot of lunches, being VERY charitable and helping people with things i other wise wouldn't have done so haha

so when they say games are influencing us at least this was in a good way =D

Saying that whenever i play Dead Rising i have a sudden urge to want to use my camera too? lol

Everyone gets light gem syndrome from Thief. You find yourself constantly glancing down to see if anyone can see you.

Also, in Team Fortress 2, I was trying to do a really curvy rocket jump and leaned right off my chair.

I always talk to my NPC allies in shooters. And not like the typical cursing at them when they die, I mean actual terms, like "Cover me!" and such. They tend to not listen. And I'm about to pop my horror game cherry tonight, so I'll post whatever funny and pathetic response I have.

When I turn during a driving game I tend to tilt the controller and if I get carried away my whole torso. Not only do I look like an idiot but I'm sure I'll fall off one day.
Not gaming but after a very good doc who episode late at night I spent half an hour locking doors and peering out of windows at the slightest sound.
Dude same. Last night I watched the episode with the little kid with the gas mask in WW2, I set a bigass wrench next to my bed before I went to sleep. I also keep a flashlight nearby to fend off weeping angels.

A few years back, while I was riding my bike with a few friends, I hit a large stick, lost control, and in mid air I tried to hit the pause button (only to realise that I wasn't holding a PS2 controller) so I could load my last checkpoint and try agian.

Luckily, everyone thought that I had simply wiped out like a normal person.

After a good deal of time playing SF2 HDR my sister comes into the room and starts annoying me so I get up and nearly shoryuken her but I stop just before I hit her because I remembered uppercutting children is a bad thing to do.

Also, after playing L4D for a good two weeks straight, playing versus alot, one of my friends was being a jackass so I attempted to vomit on him Boomer style. Alas, I only managed to leave a nasty taste in my mouth and my friends laughing hysterically at me.

The first hour or so of Deadspace was plyed with the light on.

That's the only thing I can think of.
After playing Deadspace in the dark for almost 3 hours, it was around 2 am and I was getting tired. I looked down the hallway to my room which was completely dark and thought: "The couch is looking like a good idea right now".

And after playing Deadspace too much I wanted to stomp on babies because I thought they would sprout tentacles and climb on the walls.
