Europe Universalis 3, a super fun game when this one small thing isn't in the way... You can have a army and easily lose it all in a battle when your opponent hasn't lost 1/4 of his. I have been playing as Spain and i send armies about size of enemies at him with a weak general and he has a somewhat better general and, and they win all time and the small amount of army they lose, they get back in reinforcements quickly... so my rant over

Has something small and easily fixable make it so you couldn't enjoy a awesome game?
Edit: Every time i want to play EU3 because I have awesome times with it when It is not having this flaw, I get hit with this flaw.

Not really. Although there was one point in prince of persia the two thrones that I could just never beat, and it was really close to the end of the game as well. It's the only part of any game ever that has just completely stumped me.

well...it didn't RUIN the game for me...it's still one of my favorite games...but the killer croc part of Arkham Asylum. It started great, not knowing when Croc was coming or what he'd do. but when it started happening every 30 seconds or so, it just got tedious. it went from "hell, where is he" to "oh, it's croc again. that's mildly annoying." I think some verity and better pacing would've made it one of the top moments of the game. but, as it is, it's just boring and annoying

nah, I don't thik so. I kind of go for teh whole experience but one thing would be really easy to use cheatcodes. I mean, if it takes no effort, it's just hard to resist and then makes the game last only a few weeks.

A scratch on disc 3 of FF VII made it so I was literally only a minute away from the final showdown with Sephiroth and then everything froze. It never let me get past it. Then I borrowed my friend's copy and finished it, but man oh man, was that frustrating.

Would a broken in-game camera count? If so Castlevania 64 did that.
You know what ruined Castlevania 64 for me? The game had this problem in which it wouldn't stop sucking.

And throwing boomerang is so easy, he is no threat, I completely agree too, they should of made it so you had to aim boomerang or something...

Banjo Kazooie, the horrible noises that the characters made when they "spoke"

Rah-rahh rahh rahh!

I felt like I had to apologize to anyone who overheard me playing.

Okami. I loved it but it took me forever to finally get over that noise characters made when they spoke.

It just irritated me.

No. I find small flaws, even easily fixed ones, extremely easy to overlook. In fact, I find it hard not to feel some amount of contempt for people complaining at length about small things, or exaggerating their effect on the gameplay or story.

For a game to be ruined for me, it has to have some huge flaws...huge flaws of particular types, in fact. I know that, say, Quest 64 was a very flawed (possibly even unfinished) game, but I still loved it.

The first boss in devil may cry stopped me playing it for a long time. I eventually gave it another crack and managed to bet him. 'Twas a happy day.

Neverwinter Nights 2. The inventory system was simplified. So many complaints can be leveled against that game but I could live with them. The new inventory system however filled me with a bottomless rage.

Doom 3 - Had to get the duct tape mod to play it.
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil - Why the hell did they get rid of the chainsaw!?
MW2 - Get shot once and the screen is covered in blood. That really pissed me off throughout the game.
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly - It is really sad/pathetic when the old PS1 trilogy looked better than this PS2 one. Can't wait 'til I get the other two I don't have back off of PSN.

Plus I, personally, wasn't sure what I was supposed to actually do. After finding all the sap (or whatever) it took me ages to get out as it was a damn maze. With a big crocodile that killed me a few times as I had become so bored. Fantastic game, terrible level.

I just realized that the reason why I've been reluctant to finish Folklore is because of that mother fucking worm boss on (I think) Chapter 3. The one where you have to break him into segments for whatever reason for you can hit his head.

Although I think my problem is that I was trying to tackle it with Ellen instead of the fuckawesome Keats.
