If you're getting your armies wiped in EU3, that's you, not the game. Play better.

As far as legitimate anger-inducers? The economic model is JUST far enough off in Civ4 Colonization (even with Dale and Snoopy's Age of Discovery II Mod) that it's the trading-game equivalent of the Uncanny Valley in people.

Edit: Sturmdolch, you may wish to familiarize yourself with an Escapist User Group called "Paradox Fans"...wink wink nudge nudge...we've all played EU3 and more discussion would bring that group to life.
I am just saying if I send 5 armies, all equivalent to the enemies, their army should be dead.

FFIX. the random battles happend so often it became irritating. it really sucks when it takes me 15 minutes to take 4 steps.
I hope that game had a good story if you didn't enjoy main part of the game, the fighting. (or it was super repetitive)

I'm trying to imagine the reaction if you posted that on the Paradox Interactive forums. I've seen comedy clubs during George Carlin performances with less laughter.

The lack of fast travel in Mass Effect and Assassins Creed 2 made those games very difficult to complete. I beat the storyline, but collecting all the goodies was a major pain.

Having to find all the tribals in Jet Force Gemini. I don't know how anyone could get themselves to do it.

the story wasn't bad. i played it till the end so i guess i didn't hate it. but when i want to see a bit more of the story and half a step after the last battle ends the next one begins it is kinda annoying. to be honest, i was really only playing it so i would have played every final fantasy at the time.

For GTA4, although I still enjoy the game, just not being able to STOP A CAR. I mean seriously, since when did it take 5 hours to stop rolling forward??

The giant skull dragon boss in Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox. After trying for an hour, I put down the controller and didn't play for a year.

The controls for Resident Evil 4 and 5. Seriously people, we are waaaaaay past the age of needing to stand still while we fire a gun. You can't put me in the middle of a zombie horde and expect me to stand in one place with my gun out: that's just not okay. The other aspects of the game were amazing, but if you can't actually play the thing, what's the point?

All of the times in games when you have to stop saving the world or getting more loot because you have to do some tedious and meaningless inventory management. Mass Effect and Oblivion, I'm looking at you; especially in ME when I forgot about the 100+ useless duplicate grenade mods that were taking up inventory space, and spent 5 flow-breaking minutes turning stuff into omnigel.

No, small things don't usually ruin games for me; it's usually big game-breaking things that do that.

Who here has played Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2? Ok, you know the voice actor who plays the role of Thor in that game? I. HATE. HIM. I hate his voice so much it hurt. I loved playing as Thor in the first Ultimate Alliance and planned to use him as soon as I unlocked him for the remainder of M:UA2 but Nooooooooooo ...

There were a bunch of other little things about Ultimate Alliance 2 which ruined that game for me ... I was looking forward to it too T_T

WARNING! RANT AHEAD!

*The story was supposed to be about the Secret Wars and Marvel Civil War ... which took a backseat to another idiotic story about evil micro-machines taking over the world of Organics EVEN THOUGH the end of Ultimate Alliance 1 hinted heavily at another Galactus attack.

*The Playstation 3 version of the game had a slightly different play style than the Playstation 2 version. In fact; Ultimate Alliance 2 played exactly the same way as Ultimate Alliance 1 did on the PS2.

*The Playstation 2 version of the game includes Psylock, Cyclops and, Blade as playable characters.

*THOR'S! FUCKING!! VOICE!!!

... that was more a list than a true rant ... I apologize guys and gals
