Small flaws I look past most of the time unless it just annoys the shit out of me. Like the turn timer thing on both Baten Kidos killed the game for me. I hate being rushed when I'm in combat. The only reason I still play it is to finish it. I have major reasons for hating the games too. Like the whole damn combat system it's self and the cracked out difficulty curve. In both games the hardest boss is in the fucking middle and ones a god damn random ass bird. *fumes* What the god damn fuck?

I just couldn't get over the controls in Armored Core 4 (PS3). I played every variation since the very first on PS1. I was so excited because I felt I ruled those games and was going to go online and really either kick ass or, well, not. But I couldn't reconfigure to the classic and couldn't get it to something comfortable. Then it seemed people started some unlimited code thing & I decided to hell with it.

I was just amazed at how attached I'd gotten to that control setup and they took it away for the first online version. Really ticked me off.

Some have said play it on 360. Anyone familiar?

Well, having the greatest squad member ever in Mass Effect 2 coming late game, making him usually the last character you unlock really pissed me off. Other than that its a great game.

Any game where the main character is silent throughout the entire game. It makes me mad that I feel like I'm playing a gun floating in the air with no purpose. I'm looking at you, Doom, Half-Life series, Legend of Zelda, Dead Space, and many others I can't remember.

Not really. Although there was one point in prince of persia the two thrones that I could just never beat, and it was really close to the end of the game as well. It's the only part of any game ever that has just completely stumped me.
That part with the fountain and the weird thing you pull on? Wait, wrong game.

...

I'm still posting though.

What part was it?

The final battle with Sephiroth in FFVII is just stupidly designed. Specifically, his "Supernova" attack.

Supernova does a significant amount of damage. That's fine. He casts it about seven times over the course of the battle. That's also fine. The goddamn cinematic for it is TWO minutes long every time. That is ridiculous.

It's mildly entertaining the first time, but by the end of the battle, you will have spent fourteen minutes watching that same cinematic. Worse yet, the cinematic itself is incredibly stupid; firstly, it reveals that the game takes place on Earth; secondly, it implies that Sephiroth destroys the entire galaxy (multiple times no less); and thirdly, it is more powerful than Meteor is to begin with. Everything about it just suggests that no thought was put into it besides "lulz this is kool". And just to add a bit more stupidity, for all the power that its cinematic suggests it has, Supernova only ever removes a set percentage from your health, meaning it can't actually kill you.

Here [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye0dJhSH_LU] it is, for those who haven't seen it or don't remember it. The game itself is great, but this makes the battle so frustrating that it just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't say it ruins the game, but it certainly makes me think less of it.

The dudes with guitars in Assassin's Creed II. Shut up! I'm trying to be stealthy! Stop singing about how awesome I am!

Also Assassin's Creed II. How I couldn't kill civilians. Some of those fuckers annoyed me damn it! I want the option to kill whoever I want... Like the dudes with guitars...

Dragon's Age: Origins. How I couldn't just use one sword with and empty slot in the off-hand... Sure, you COULD, but it would be stupid considering you only get special attacks with something in the off-hand. Sometimes, you just want to be that one guy using a single sword and nothing else, if for no other reason than to look cool.

I rally wanted to enjoy Mass Effect 1, I really did. The FUCKING Mako ruined the whole game for me. I really enjoyed everything that didn't involve the mako, but to get to that you had h drive the MOTHERFUCKING thing across the whole planet. I was literally inches from smashing the game and forgetting the whole series. Now I have Mass Effect 2 and all's right with the world.

The fact that if you miss the shotgun in Shadow complex, you have to start the whole damn game again to beat it 100%.

I sunk 10 hours into exploring a big, confusing, and empty base, and then, JUST AS SOON AS I GET 100% ON EVERYTHING ELSE, the game pulls THAT dick move.

small knee high obstacles that prevent my character from moving. I like to feel free in games, and really feel the experience. In COD5WAW for example I see myself not getting past an ankle high fence and then I just come crashing back to poor reality.

Unmoving cameras... *twitch* There is nothing more annoying in this world.
on an unrelated note, if you can't beat them the first time, get more firepower.

I wouldn't say small things do, it's usually glitches that ruin games for me, stuff testers should really have found

Dragon Age put me off for life just because it has some really stupid bugs

Darksiders one button combat set me off. Cool story, moody characters, and big bosses. But the easy combat just crushed my hopes and dreams but I'm still strolling through it.
