there was "Broken steel" for fallout 3...I guess thats one good thing about DLC...if the ending is so horrible it can be "fixed"

Didn't they add DLC that changed the ending?
They retcon that episode? When? And what changes did they make to it? I mean I was saddened by this episode but I didn't want the creators to change it.thaluikhain said:
upset so many people they had to retcon it. Closest I can think of.
The only other changes like that would be re-released Star Wars and stuff, in which they changed it solely to provoke negative reactions from fans.
Honestly, it looks like he is "embracing that amazing opportunity" and has been writing sci-fi since the mid 80s.Sandytimeman said:Because it's always professional to take a job for money and then treat it like a joke. This guy isn't a writer, shit he is just a tool. He had the privilege to be a writer by trade, for that to be his career and instead of embracing that amazing opportunity he took a giant dump on it.
I hope he ends up working a min wage job, that's the kind of job you don't give a shit about.
As I recall, Highlander 2 ended up the mess it was because the insurance company stepped in and hijacked the production in the first place. Or something...RyoScar said:The whole concept of Highlander 2 was re-written because it was stupid as hell and fans HATED it, and the re-writes are still crap. But at least they tried.

Of course, the exact reasons Holmes was brought back were unclear, and it might well have been more fiscal than fan-oriented. I just brought this up in another thread a couple hours ago, so it's kinda fresh in my mind.Mortai Gravesend said:Never heard of it happening. But if you're interested in the writer fan relationship, what happened to Sherlock Holmes comes kind of close. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle originally planned to kill Holmes off so he could work on other projects. However fans were apparently upset by this so after having written and published what he intended to be the death of Holmes he decided Holmes had survived and continued to write. And looking at Wikipedia it was a gap of about 10 years. 8 to The Hound of the Baskervilles which was supposed to be prior to his 'death', and 2 more years after that before he just gave in and decided that Holmes was still alive.

Hold on, if Will Smith is the last human (or at the least, one of the last), then he's the monster. I mean think of it this way: A sentient society is living on it's own while a cruel demon, the last of his race, murders every person he finds and kidnaps people as well. Because for the Vampires, Will Smith was the Demon and the Monster while they were just living on their ownHeimir said:One should also mention that "they" are mutants and monsters. And he's the last human being. He's more of an anti-hero tbh :3Saltyk said:Well, I know it happens in movies in post production all the time. Someone above mentioned I am Legend. And he's right. Remember the ending? Will Smith saves the woman and girl, gives them the cure, and kills himself and the attacking horde. In the original ending, it is revealed that the "horde" was just out to save the one he had capture. And in fact, he was their boogie-man and walking nightmare.
