I would say RE4 but it loses some of it's fun value after you play it 5 or 6 times.

So I would have to say Star wars battlefront II because I can't think of anything else right now.
Resi 4 was a great game as well but you are correct in saying it does lose some of its fun value after a couple of replays. I mean i do reminisce about playing it, but would never turn it on and physically play it again.

Perfection does not exist except possibly to the mind of an individual or small group.
There will always be mixed reactions ranging from "that's amazing" to "meh' or even "this is gay".

Nothing is or ever will be universally loved. I think that was proven around the time when the first self proclaimed asexual came out of the... closet? pantry? armoir? fridge? or whatever they want to call it, and said "I don't like sex".

This is why i believe personally there will never be a perfect game.

I wouldn't call it perfect, but the first game that springs to mind that has really no flaws at all as far as I'm concerned is U.N Squadron for the SNES.

Best shoot em up ever made to this day!
You know... is this game really that hard or do I just suck?
Because every fucking time I died after the first level.

An entire TES compilation, except with Oblivion graphics.

Impossible, but one can dream.

It can be pretty hard yeah, I was very proud of myself the first time I beat it.
Have you tried a different pilot? I prefer the chick for her more powerful standard weapon, but the bearded guy is easier to start of with, he recovers much quicker.

There will never be a game that's perfect to/for everyone.
In my opinion there have been some pretty outstanding games released, but others would disagree.

To me, perfect media can and do exist, though rarely. Perfect, of course, meaning that they are as good as they can be without being something else. This means they aren't necessarily the best, but that no element of them could be improved in any way. An example is that I think Tequila Sunrise is a perfect song, but I don't think it's the best song and it isn't my favorite song.

In gaming, there are few perfect games. Most games shoot for the moon and forget to hammer down the most basic things and trip over their own feet loaded down by a topheavy concept. Most perfect games tend towards simplicity. Portal is one a lot of people might point out.

But for a better game, I've always considered Ico to be perfect. There simply isn't any single aspect that could be improved without altering the scope or nature of the game itself. It has a short list of goals, and they are all accomplished as well as they could have been.

This is why Ico, in my opinion, has held up so well over the years and will continue to impress long into the future; the things it accomplishes are not elements of technology or even mechanics, which will always become passe and outdated, but of theme and concept, which the years cannot diminish and the ages cannot improve.
