Every body just needs to stop and get on my level.

Old picture, though. That hat now has a button on it of a smiley face I drew, and I pierced the ears. If anyone cares so see it I'll take a photo of it.

I'm a dork, but this was my first hat and it's soo comfy, got it at MegaCon a while back while I was helping out Anime Sushi.
I do get quite a few odd looks though because of the ears, but fuck 'em.

I hate to sound like a hipster, but I was into fedoras before it was a trend.

I am particularly fond of pageboy hats (the ones with the brim showing and a bit of poofiness to the part on the head). I have several in a variety of colors and am always looking for more. Nothing beats a straight black one, though; it goes with everything.

Really diggin army hats lately...
But really I prefer hats depending on the situation, beanies for example are my number one choice for hiding a bad haircut.

Well, ya picked mine Daystar. Though, we call it a drivers cap here. (unless there is some kind of difference I'm ignorant of)

I have one with ear flaps that you can put down when it gets cold.

Got one because it's one of my grandfather's favorites. Felt like continuing a "tradition" by getting one myself.
Plus, it's comfortable and useful. :)

Also, speaking of fedoras.

But... but... I actually do love the fedora. The classic, wide-brimmed kind as worn by Prohibition-era gangsters and Indiana Jones. NOT the trilby, which is what a lots of the "fedoras" I see posted on the internet actually are.

Regardless of that whole... thing (it's a freakin' hat, people. Hats are not misogynistic), I'm a woman anyway. Does that make it ok?

Well, being a fashion model helps. But I agree women tend to look better in fedoras than men.
Related to what you both said. According to Rob Rath, the fedora got it's start thanks too "Sex-symbol actress Sarah Bernhardt" in the play "Fédora".
4 cookies to whoever can guess why it's called that. ;p

:D Neat read if any of ya gets board and really like hats.

I have a terminal case of fat head which prevents me from being able to comfortably fit most hats which people would actually wear out in public.

Toques are pretty much the only things that work, because they often can stretch.

I guess it's only fitting that I'm looking to go to university in Canada...
that is definitely one of my favorites as well. Unfortunately Once I go indoors (90% of my day/night time) that thing becomes a magnet for heat and my head starts to sweat like a mofo, so I can't wear it too often, and only in the winter :/

I don't have a HUGE head, but I do seem to always find hats that don't fit for one reason or another:

some of my hats are really deep, but then they are really tight and give me a headache after 45 minutes of wearing it, and then some aren't deep at all, but then I feel like I'm wearing a god damn yamaka, ugh it's frustrating when I roll out of bed late and don't have time to shower

OT: I can't pull this hat off to save my life, but I think it looks extremely badass on this character:

always loved a good conical asian hat user

I'm not a big fan of top hats, despite the avatar...I'm a bigger fan of the sedge shade...or at least that's what they called the one in Soul Calibur.

It inspires thought of the humble fisherman and basking lizard.

EDIT: Apparently it's called an asian rice hat, and I want the one in Team Fortress.

Clearly we are long lost siblings! Look at my post above yours.

Though admittedly I got my hat from Amazon. I never liked cons.
Woo!
Quite frankly I wanted something that was unique, but that hat was just too cute in my opinion, so I snagged it.
I generally don't get any of PawStar's stuff (Mostly because I'm not into fuzzy leg warmers and paws), but they don't really have bad hats.

I do, however, have a hat WITH a tail!
It's same style of hat, all black, cat ears that have purple fuzz and are "pierced", and a purple tail on the back with the Anime Sushi cat skull and cross bones on the front.
'S very comfy, doesn't particularly wash well unless I brush the fuzzies after drying.

I love a good top hat. I wish wearing them was a thing.

With the right outfit you can pull off a top hat just fine. Hell I wear one all the time and no one's ever said anything bad about it, in fact I usually get compliments when I'm out and about. I love my top hat and there's no way in hell I'm gonna stop wearing it. Really I just wish capes never went out of style, I will always maintain that the world became a poor place when we decided to do away with capes, but that's a different discussion all together. The point is, experiment around with your look and then own that shit, because top hats are awesome!

[sub/]*must*....*not*.....*mention*...*neckbeard fedoras*.......eeerrrraaaaagggghhhhh [/sub]

[sub/](I've been on reddit too long)[/sub]

*ahem*

aside from hats kind of being ruined by...well [i/]that[/i] I do think they are cool. Though to some degree I am thankful I'm not a guy, because if I were then I may have misguidedly attempted to wear such a hat inappropriately at some point and looked like an idiot. As a girl theres not really any ways I can make hats work, not with my dress preferences (not gonna say style because...ha!). So for me hats are a bit like getting that lanyard thingamajig in the Tomb Raider CE...nice but I've got no use for it

back in primary school (and in a country town where no one gave a crap about fashion) we were required to wear hats when outside so I had many caps over the years. The most notable one was a black baseball style cap with the Wallace and Gromit logo on it I wore all the time in the early high school years

Hat of choice for me you be an authentic vintage boater straw hat. Nowadays they are considered to be expensive collectibles, but for me there's no better thing to match a nice summer outfit with bowtie and suspenders.

My pride and joy, though its too cold to wear it now:

Bowler would be something I'd also wear...

I hear you there, I use to wear one all the time, for nine years. Then internet assholes ruined it for everyone, but on the bright side I discovered my one true hat love in my top hat, so I can't be too upset.

I only really wear bandannas, and that's generally to help keep my hair at the flanks of my head and not blowing around in my face. Bandannas are considered a kind of hat if worn on the head right? It's the closest kind of "hat" I wear, at any rate. I may wear the occasional beanie, but that is rare.

Nah, I hate the look of my hair when it's tied up. Besides, I can never do it "professionally" like most women can. It always ends up looking like a right mess, haha.

Part outback Aussie hat, part badass cowboy hat (but without the pretentiousness of the stetson) the Packer Hat rules all.

Mine is exactly that, although with only two vent holes instead of three, for some reason.

I'll admit it takes a certain amount of commitment to wear, because it's a little out of the ordinary. But other people seem to like it. Within reason, if you act like an article of clothing belongs, people seem to accept that it does. I guess that's how any trend becomes the norm.

But obviously you have to wear it with the right clothes. I'd want someone to slap me if I ever put that thing on with a hoody or something!
Aw Piss, Ninjad, and only in the second post. I wear an almost identical hat (two vent holes on each side which I use to hold on a wind string, dark brown leather, made by Hawkins Headwear) almost everywhere I go.

I have worn it with a hoody that I got from a festival and I think it goes quite well.

I also have a collection of other hats, including:

Porkpie

Trilby

Furry Russion looking thing

Straw Fedora (Deal with it OP)

Whatever this is

One of these

An Admiral Cap resembling this

And a nice Pirate hat (unfortunately not as fancy as this one)
*ahem* the russian hat is called ushanka i believe

I have one of these kind of hats, and I almost never leave home without it. I have a jacket that goes perfectly with it, and together they look AWESOME.

I also have a black baseball cap with Ravnica pins that I wear whenever I go to play M:TG, or to other events wherein being a geek is a good thing.

I prefer to wear a simple beanie. They're comfortable, look good and keep my head warm.

Any other hat doesn't really fit my head in a way that feels comfortable.
