Every once in a while (usually 2-3 times a year), my buddy Fluffy and I will start a marathon (usually Sonic the Hedgehog) of retro systems. We've also recently started throwing the Mario games in there too! We're trying to track down the OLDSCHOOL Megaman games (for their respective systems) to have a marathon of those as well, but cart MM games are HARD to find locally... Webernets and me not so friendly.
Regardless of what games we end up marathoning, we ALWAYS end with the classic Sega game "Gain Ground," on the hardest difficulty it has, only AFTER we get ourselves good and buzzed (be it crushing a couple of six packs of Smirnoff Ice A PIECE, or just taking several shots of Jager, we get nice and buzzing first). We are yet to beat it like this, but it's fun as hell!
And at least ONCE a month, I have to see if I can best my record of beating Sonic the Hedgehog (ON A SEGA GENESIS) in under a half hour. So far, best time is 28:50someodd.

Any time I play Halo on XBL, I've GOT to be drunk. I play shooters better drunk.

Goldeneye 64 traditions/houserules (yes, it gets its OWN section):
It is always three on one (if 4 are playing), and I'm ALWAYS the one. There is ONE exception: No Radar is active if I have a teamate.
If playing Temple, it is set to Golden Gun (vice versa, as well). If I get the Golden Gun, I am not allowed to leave the room it's in (the lower room with the "skylight") to find the other players. I have to wait for them to come to me. PERIOD.
I am never allowed ANY form of body armor pickups.
In the Facility, I am not allowed in the vents.
I am not allowed to leave the Bunker if I have the Sniper Rifle on LTK mode.
On LTK, I am STRONGLY discouraged from picking up the RC-P90.
Usually, they like me to set my health to -100%, and theirs to +100%, just to make it that much harder on me.
Remote Mines (or Power Weapons)+Complex, I have to allow them 1/5 of their kills (3 kills for a 15 point game), or straight up 5 kills on a timed game.
I am not allowed to set Remote Mines on Archives at all.
We either play Library or Stacks, never Basement.
We only place Caves if they can beat me on EVERY OTHER LEVEL first.
I am not allowed to play as Oddjob.
Turbo Mode is ALWAYS active. If, God forbid, our "Jessie-Proofed" files get BALEETED, we must go through and REearn it before we can play MultiPlayer.
If we're playing the game over at my parents (remember, my brother AND I are both married with kids, but we DO go to our parents to play games from time to time), DK Mode and Paintball mode are REQUIRED by my da.
Even with all these rules in place, they still cant pull a victory for the night out of their asses. Oh sure, they'll beat me at two or three games, but the total score at the end of the night it's something around 7 to 3 (if it's a ten game set). And that's usually the consistant ratio (if it's more than ten games. 14:6, etc.).

And starting RIGHT NOW, I'm going to initiate all new gamer friends by making them play "Bible Adventures."
Yeah, I went there.
