This is as old a onlne gaming tbh. Im not particuly good at FPS's, but even I've been accused, which is pretty funny. Mod got called in, and laughed at the accuser.

Best bet is ignore them, let them get a mod in if they need to. Some people cant take sucking at a videogame.

Many, many times. Mostly in CoD4, used to play America's Army too, before 3 came out - quite often on a new map introduction i'd be accused of hacking because I shoot dead on. Admittedly it's not hard to hit people running around in the open because they have no clue where to go and aren't paying any attention to the objectives at all, and never, EVER stop to get better aim to shoot. I'd consider it a compliment but its obvious the IQ of those accusing me is so low that any sort of retort at all would seem like cruelty to the mentally retarded.

Want to be accused of hacking in a FPS? Find a spot that people don't normally stop at, say behind a car rather than a wall or window of a building, sit there for a minute or two looking down the sights, and pick off whoever stumbles down your shooting gallery.

One time in particular on the Christmas heli crash map on CoD4, instead of hiding in the building where the HQ objective was at, I squat down behind a car right in front of it, and it was like I was invisible. The dorks were so busy staring at the windows that they'd walk right past me on some occasions. I got 13 kills in that one spot, in less than 2 minutes. Derp! Difference between memory and situation awareness is pretty stark there.

Way back when I used to be addicted to Halo PC multiplayer, I'd get accused of hacking or using an aimbot every so often. It was pretty rare, but it was funny to hear.

Once, back when the Halo 1 multiplayer was the shit.

Anywho - I was on a killing spree in the canyon map - not bloodgulch mind you, but the one with the canyon and the bridge area that all the snipers like to camp. - I had already gone on a killing spree and some of the other team's players were getting annoyed. So I guess they set a trap up for me at one of the exits onto the bridge area. As I'm going through one of the tunnels with a shotgun, a guy jumps out at me with an assault rifle and starts shooting; I hit him in the face with a melee attack and then kill him with a shotgun blast. Then I switch to a sniper rifle, when another guy jumps out from the side of the entrance and a sniper behind him takes a shot at me; out of reflex I crouch, dodging the sniper's shot, and shoot him in the chest with the sniper rifle which apparently also hit the sniper in the head - killing them both in one shot. Many of them then proceeded to call my shenanigans 'h@x' and proclaimed I was a 't0t41 ******'. Many of which then ragequit. I then went on to kill quite few more of the remaining ones with a pistol and some grenades before finally dying myself.

Nothing came of it, but Christ it was fun.

It happens to me and my buddies all the time,(this is about on average 3-5 people joining the same side or group) in pretty much any fps if we all join a server it takes about 1 round or about 5 mins for everyone on the other side to start saying hacks or any other thing. Most of the time the only reason we win or get high kill rates is because we work as a unit and watch each others asses. When we are off alone we are still called hackers because we adjust are play style for the map, or game.

When I play a game alone and or when they play the game alone it still happens mainly because like you said if you continually kill a certain person they are going to get mad and start venting one way or another, Also I remember this one time I was playing Starcraft, the fist one with the expansion. I joined a clan\guild and the leader was like you wanna play a 1 v 1. I said sure and ended up beating him, it wasn't a huge win, we were back and fourth the whole game. I ended up beating him because I exploited a weakness he didn't fix from a previous attack. He then proceeded to make all his building raise up (he was terran) and he would fly them around the map to keep me from taking out all his stuff. I found him and killed him he called me a map hacker because I found his little secret base in the corner of the map.

Back in high school my friend and I would go to his place a few houses away each thursday at 12.00 or so instead of arfternoon sport, Halo 3 would ensue. At the time I was at the top of my game and could blast through the ranking system to the mid 40's with a new account (which id done a few times for the free 1 month of xbox live gold).

My friend at the time was new to FPS's and was around level 17, the players I'd get paired against under his name really didnt know what was coming. Even on my own account i was used to being accused of hacking a few times each week, but on my friends acount people would go beserk. I won a few games in team doubles against the same team one afternoon, for each game my team mate would quit at the start and the other team wouldnt stop raging over each defeat.

Eventually they sent a voice message which went something like, "IM SICK OF YOU, YOUR HACKING AND IVE REPORTED YOU TO MICROSOFT, THERES NOTHING YOU CAN SAY AGAINST IT I KNOW YOUR HACKING, I SHOTGUNNED YOU RIGHT IN THE LEG AND YOU DIDNT DIE AND NOW YOUR GOING TO GET BANNED"

I tend to get accused of hacking A LOT in COD4. It's not hacks tho, it's only a good 2 years wasted from my life playing the game..

I got a nuke within the first 2 minutes in MW2 on Karachi by being incredibly lucky and having the other team be full of idiots. Naturally 1 guys had to message that they were reporting me for hacking.

got accused of having a modded Xbox when i was playing GTA 4 race once. I was beating this dude by a lot and he thought I somehow modded my Xbox. Turned out he was lagging really bad and apologized for it. Then he started to yell at a squeaker(little kid)... yea he was strange guy.

Some guy called me a hacker in BlOps (on xbox, mind you, which makes it even more ridiculous) when I got 80 kills and 3 deaths in a game of domination.

A quick 1 v 1 where I completely destroyed him and he had killcams on me the whole time sorted that out.

Oh, and also I got accused of aim-botting on Halo: Combat Evolved one game where I basically won single-handedly for our team, getting over half of our kills and only dying twice in TDM.

I got called one last night on TF2... It's brilliant when you get some guy screaming "Wordsmith's hacking, Admins ban him!!", only to find out that I *am* an admin...

During my Counter Strike time I was banned on a good lot of servers - the funniest thing was at the beginning when I started playing semi-professional that a clan had to unban me as they banned me the day before our match when I wanted to check on their abilities :D

Getting called a hacker is easy. It requires two things:

1. Gain skill in a game you play online
2. Don't use a microphone

Anyone who sees a silent person with allot of skill assumes it's a cheater.

Well I guess I may as well compliment myself and say yes.

When I was some thing of an ultra nerd, I've changed honest, I did get accused of hacking on CSS, but that was when I used to only and constantly play it. Makes you laugh a bit when you get someone saying "hacker", "aimbot". However it has been a long time since anyone has called me a hacker now a days.

Back in the day when I did play css it was all about single firing the AK. I can't say I miss those days but it was pretty fun.

Ever played Combat Arms? It's a free online FPS that was made by the creators of Maple Story (forgot their name). Everytime, EVERYTIME, you do good, the 12 year olds who play accuse you of hacking. One time, my brother bought a minigun from the in game store. They claimed he was hacking because you "can't get a minigun" and kicked him.
