I used to be Archaon666, and mostly bratty american kids used to scream at me about my offensiveness in the sight of god, and how i was being sacreligious and a whole raft of other stuff i really didn't give a shit about.
i changed to 6044 after i tried to use my old name to sign into runescape and couldn't. and then i grew up anyway, so i changed it away from 666, because i wasn't 15

usually when people talk to me ingame, they call me Arcane, because they have difficulty with Ark-A-On. again, usually american kids

My nickname, the city lion, is what I'm usually called. I'm very rarely called by my username.

Not here but I also use the name "varrdy" as my email handle so it does get remarked on. I wanted to use "Wardy", which is my nickname (3 guesses as to what my surname is) but it was taken on my email service (and here).

"Varrdy" comes from a Swedish friend's accented-pronunciation of my nickname and trust me he doesn't half roll his 'r's! ;-)

I just thought it would be better than "Wardy932789345"...

Wardy...or...Varrdy ;-)

Freelance Butler's never been noticed, but my Steam name, Cheesey Beans, is questioned every now and again.
For a short time I was known as "fart recipe" on one server. I couldn't play properly because I was laughing too much.

Apparently I've never been against any Grammar Nazis, seeing as I only just noticed I've been spelling "Cheesey" wrong.

Yeah, people ask me if it's my real name or not and what the 93 means.

Doesn't people know that when there's a number at the end of their names, it usually means their year of birth? That's at least how it is here.

I've been referred to at Skype with my username because my normal name is impossible for non-scandinavians to say apparently.
I've also been called Norwayboy, which sounds kinda cool.

In forum games I've seen the word Termi-Maul about twenty times damnit. So yes, but such is the price of being foolish enough to put up a self gimped avatar. My username is pretty boring, my name with 3 SEPARATE numbers that sound nice on after the other. Brandon 2.3.7, not two-thirty seven.

Yeah, somebody told me that my Username was sinister. My response to that is as follows:

If Johnny Depp can get away with it in a film for twelve-year-olds, I'm pretty sure I'm okay.

Only one person has ever asked me who or what Proteus was and only one other person actually asked what the significance of the 214 is (and yes, it is significant), and both of them were ex-girlfriends =/ . Never really got any negative feedback about it.

They ask if I created it in reference to Sephiroth from Final Fantasy. No, I did not. I hadn't even played FF7 when I created it. It's supposed to be pronounced like 'fearoth' but most people pronounce it like 'furoth' so they can just call me 'Fir' (fur). It's somewhat annoying, but, I've stuck with it.

once at school (like two years ago) I was presenting a team homework, and one of my team said "yeah, we are 'X', 'Y', Canape and me"

I prayed to mother earth to please eat me down and make me vanish

Nobody has ever given a damn what my Escapist username means. I've been asked a bunch about my username on other sites, though.
