Yeahh yeah. It's great fun! You know you're not supposed to aim at the head right? Yeah I got hit, it's too unexpected for it to hurt much. I did similar gametypes to you, but with a base assault with a bomb. That's an epic gametype.

nah been changed to 16 or lower in alot of states now.

but on topic i have been paintballing about 5 times now. so yes i have been in a match.

My signiture move is to walk down the side of the field as if i have been shot. then keep walking down to the other teams side and shot them in the back. normally the rule is if you have been shot you have to put your gun in the air. so im not cheating if i dont put my gun up in the air :)

Did it once with my karate team. It was quite an experience, to say the least, being the only person under 20 and half my the players were black belts. My sensei even used me as a human shield once...

Still, great fun, even though it pains like a ***** when you get hit, and I would definitely do it again at a later date. Actually, I think some of my mates are planning to go after Christmas, I'm gonna have to check that out :)

Played a few, but I'm pretty awful. Turns out dedicating endless hours in CoD to reach that last prestige doesn't make you a super soldier in real life, who knew? I got shot a few times, but the two most painful were one from about 2 foot away, got hit right on the finger, and the other, I dunno were it came from, but got he right in the throat, bloody painful.

I've been once, we done 3 matches. 1 was a capture the flag in the other teams fort, the attackers get 2 lifes and the defenders get 1, that was fun, especially when one of the guys screamed and ran towards the base and I just shot him , a lot.

The 2nd one was a hill fort where one team would be at the bottom of the hill and the other at the top defending the fort, yet again the attackers get 2 lifes and the defenders get 1, the attacking team had to capture the fort, my dad was epic, all the cover was down the 2 sides of the hill, so the defending team was concentrating on those 2 areas , but my dad just ran right up the middle of the hill and took out 2/3rds of the team. He shot one guy who was about 1ft away from him, that guy fell over knocking over the cover for the guy behind him, my dad then takes out that guy, then he shoots 4 other people who were underfire from his team down the side.

The 3rd one was capture the flag, everyone had infinite lifes although when you were shot you had to walk back to your base and start again from there, there was a flag in the middle and the only cover on the way was barrels. Each team had 2 huts and you could use a ladder to peer up above the huts and shoot from there. I ended up in a shoot out with one guy, he got me twice and I shot him twice.

Was fun:)

I've been in four. Outdoor and indoor, in teams. I have to say, I really like indoor much better. I've had all sorts of matches. I've gotten hit. I never go for the head though I got six times in the head.

3 separate occasions, plenty of different match-types (capture the flag, team vs team, King of the hill), planning on going again soon, possibly suffered a concussion after I got hit on the temple (possibly), have achieved many satisfying hits.

Worst hit I've taken was to the armpit... hurt even more than back of the knee.

God I love paintball.

I've been quite a few times now. It really doesn't hurt that much!

One day did go bad though. I went paintballing with my brother-in-law and his oldest friend. They both spent ten years in the army and had fought in every warzone from 1991 onwards.........they were pretty fucking good!

Anyway, a few guys on the opposing team were behaving like twats, loosing off rounds into the woodland and around peoples feet on the walk down to the gaming area, as well as pointing their weapons straight at people needlessly. They were also cheating, refusing to accept they'd been hit and just staying in the game.

Things went really bad when one of my sisters friends daughters was pinned in a building and these dicks just reached their weapons up over the windowsills terrorist style and filled the entire room at point blank range. One of them ended up getting rifle-butted in the face with the gas cannister!

In another incident, I'd been hit and was leaving the combat zone with my gun in the air when a couple of these idiots ran behind me and fired a few shots into my back from about two feet away. I felt the blood almost straight away. I then proceeded to walk over to their friends, who were firing into the combat zone from the 'I'm dead' area and emptied my entire hopper into them (probably around 150 paintballs).

The day ended with one of them being carried out by his friends after my brother-in-law and his friend got bored of their shit and ninja'd the ringleader, shooting him in the back of the legs numerous times until he couldn't stand.

I was pissed off that day, and bleeding a lot.......but we did some serious damage and, by the end of the day, the morons weren't quite so cocky!

I fucking love paintball!!

Yes, I wasn't provided with the anti-condensation spray and my glasses steamed up. I was then promptly shot in the nuts at point blank over 10 times and told to go back to the waiting room for the next match along with the other "casualty" so far that match. I had to follow them closely because I couldn't actually see, and wasn't allowed to take the helmet off or even lift it to work my way back.

Health and safety are imbeciles.

I'm also in Australia. I've played Paintball about 12 times now. We usually go for a whole day and I personally use about 1500 rounds (which is fairly reserved in comparison to some of the trigger happy nuts). I'm currently a member of one of the Paintball clubs in Victoria and to do that I needed my license to own a Paintball gun. It's a similar procedure to acquiring a regular fire-arm here. I would also like to point out that bush paintball is much different to indoor and also the kid-friendly type.

The last time I played I had a K/D spread of 9/1. On this day I also captured 2 flags and rescued a 'downed pilot'. The only death was from a lucky shot whilst I was in cover. The paintball went through a hole the size of my fist straight into my visor.

We usually play with a few 'pros' and the refs usually join in too. A couple of ex SAS guys usually come as well if we can manage em.

This is one of the paintball duels my friends and I filmed:

The trick is finding the right helmet. Often the place will have a number of goggles available. Go for the minimalist approach, ones that have lots of airy bits and not much cover. Check the padding around the eyes.

I also got shot in the balls. The one time I didn't wear the CUP because I didn't have any string and was wearing boxers instead of Jocks. It cained. I feel your pain.

i love your play style :)

one time i went paintbaling with like friends of my brothers friends so i dint know anyone. basically it was the end of the round. it was me and one enemy left and this guy was laying in some grass. so i shot him from like 15 m away. he didnt put his gun in the air so i shot again and again. i lost track of the number of times i shot him. i fugured i must be missing or the grass is stoping them.

i stopped firing and he got up and charged at me. about to start a fist fight but i think his friends calmed him down.

The reason he didnt put his gun up in the air to say that he had been shot was that he was laying on the ground and actually couldnt put his gun into the air :)

My brother and i lol so hard when we remember it. That day was so awesome. we were going so well that they made up special rules for us. saying we cant go past half way on the field. cause we would get all up in the enemy teams and shot them in the backs and stuff.

I think my brother got threatened with a knife after the paint ball was over. I think the guy didnt like being beaten by 2 nerds when the enemy guy was in the army :)

I played paintball once during the whole it's-cool-to-play-paintball-because-it's-1996 or whatever that was all about. What type of match was it? Invite the girl and attack her as a group. Oh, and shoot her in the boobs as many times as possible.

The problem was that I was tipped off about said match a day before and had myself a little plan. When it came time to ambush me (they had a signal phrase... yes, this was that stupid) I was no where to be found. Also, some of their protective gear had gone missing as part of the tip-off (I paid the guy to hide their stuff) so excited were they at the idea of shooting some girl's wobbly bits that that they went on playing anyway. Stupid them.

The other guy and I had a lot of fun shooting them where they neglected to wear protection. One of them had back ups, and thus I rifle butted him when I jumped out of a tree onto his back. Those were the days.

Note: this was on some spoiled snot's ranch. He got a nickname from the match that I'm not sure I can repeat here due to extensive bruising of his wobbly bits. No idea how long it stuck.

If you're the youngest of your friends, then do if gor your birthday, since it is FUCKING AWESOME. :D
I was the oldest of all of my mates, so I had to convince my youngest friend to do it for his 18th. He wasn't too into the idea, so I kept telling how FUCKING AWESOME it would be. All the way home, he was saying how FUCKING AWESOME it was.

What we've learnt here today:

Paintball is FUCKING AWESOME.

Class dismissed.

Yep. I've been 3 times... so quite a few matches...

First time I went I got hit many times, the most notable of which however was getting shot in the throat from fairly close. Which was quite numb fortunately. I had a bruise for a week or so though.

Still I love playing it, just don't do it enough.

Paintball's fucking fun. Wish I played it more often.

Invited my Dad along twice to paintball matches. Probably shouldn't have, the guy's an evil genius. We were playing this game mode where if you were shot you had to call for a medic who could be anyone, a tag would put you back in the game. My Dad picked a place, started calling, "Medic!", putting on a 'young' voice. A person from the other team turned out, he was just a kid, about 13 maybe. Dad gave him two in the chest and one in the head.

"Right," he said, "call for a medic."

"And," he added, "if you try and warn them I will shoot you in if the fucking balls and I will not stop, understand?"

The poor kid was pissing himself.

I left him to it after that and he only managed to shoot a couple more before he was overrun and out of the game. Too bad. Hilarious though.

Friendly fire to the back of the head.
A punch up in to middle of the CQB course.
Best Man puking in the foxhole.
I got to quit smoking.

Memories.
Paintball to start a stag night. Interesting idea, that.

Might try it sober next time.
