I used to help run a paintball field so i've been in a lot, we ran it for about 2 years and i played in just about every game for those 2 years, it was so fucking awesome.

Only tried it once due to the cost, but it was a lot of fun!
I hit a guy on the mask so he got paint splattered in/on his mouth.. well he shouldn't have crouched then.
Also had a bit of friendly fire, where I shot my teammate in the butt. Good fun, would like to play again.

There's a really good Skirmish place just up the road, I've been there a few times. I spend most of my time posturing and trying to look badass. It's not the best tactic, but it's damn fun.
i live in WA and i went paintballing for my 17th birthday.....and brought all my 16 year old mates along (i was the oldest in my year). And to sum up the experience.....BEST DAY EVER! Got shot twice (in both knees ). Once a guy on the other team snuck up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder, too which i screamed like a little girl while pushing him to the ground and shooting him in the face till i had nothing left in my gun. So what did we learn? Shoot first and dont stop till the twitching ends!

Once. With my high school class. Officially, we were visiting an art gallery.
Yeah, our head teacher is awesome.
And the match was seriously damn fun, too.
I kicked a lot of ass, because apparently I was the best damn shot (2 people at about 25 meters through a window at 60 degrees... who were sprinting to the right. I could barely see them, and I hit both. Hellz yes. And I once took down 5 people of the opposing team alone. I felt decidedly badass after the match). And I never even fired a paintball gun or any other weapon before. 'Twas good ^^

Went paintballing twice. Got hit only once, dead center of my chest, so it didn't really hurt.
(I was also wearing my fencing chest plate on the inside, which helped quite a bit)
Capture the flag twice. It eventually devolved into "everyone gather up and bumrush the neutral flag", but it was still massive fun.
I prefer Laser Tag though, because I got access to laser grenades. And the cleanup afterwards isn't as messy.

Never played paintball - but im a pretty decent airsoft player (6mm plastik BB's), playing games every 2 weeks whole year round, since i was 16
We play at a more proffesionel level than the standard paintball range, and therefore we have no trouble with people cheating or anything. Lots of fun.
At the moment we have acces to a semi large forrest, and a large factory complex with office buildings, watertowers etc.
Also, i would say that Airsoft is more tactical than paintball..

Played an indoor game with a couple of friends. Shot my friend even though the round ended. He now has 3 scars. Good fun!
People keep asking me to go to laser skirmish. Whats the point if you dont get hurt?

My mates and I went for a whole day session (8:30-4:30), ended up using around 700 paintballs, and without a doubt, I can say it was the most intense experience in my entire life.
Pinned, with legs cramping up, outflanked my a superior force, with your marker jamming up, and running low on paintballs...
*sigh*
We mostly played objective games, such as capturing a castle, a wall, flags, or bringing a "bomb" to an objective. We also did a few elimination games.
In all reality though, going without armour is the real experience. It stings like it should when you get shot.
I've personally done some incredibly stupid things, simply for the fun of it, i.e. exposing only my head out of cover (headshots aren't kills), ending in the enemy using quite a bit of ammo, and with a completely orange-d visor.
Also, take the scenario in my second sentence, except add the fact I stood up out of cover, shouted "COME GET SOME", and maniacally laughed as paintballs hit me in the chest over and over again.

Tried it and it made me go ballistic. Not the game but the players. Apart from my friends who brought me along(it was big public game) nearly all of them were loudmouths and "internet toughguys". Sorry but if you did military duty you wanna punch a lot of those weekend "rambos" in the face. The game itself is ok i guess if you do it with only selected people. But then again you could go to a reserve training and play with the big toys...
I went with my brother in law and ppl from his unit on the Miltery base and it was a really fun thing tho one of the guys got a burned hand from faulty paintball grenade
I've been in a few, it was so much fun! I got hit, quite badly, once in the neck, and then my back at close range, and my knee, they stung like hell for a few days after. But I gave as good as I got, I hit a lot of people and led my small team to victory and it was awesome
I've gone three times for an entire day, and I absolutely love it! It's just a pity the paintball area near where I live has shut down.
The first time I went, I was 12, and so I didn't really get in there, and so I was only hit once, but I wasn't bad at getting everyone else. Last time I went, I was crouching behind a barricade, with an enemy on the other side. I leaned over pointing my gun at him and shouting at him to surrender, but the Marshal said I couldn't do that any more, and so I crouched back behind the barricade, and then the enemy leaned over ad shot me from under a foot away in the shoulder, now that hurt.
I consider myself quite hardcore at it now, I used the minimum amount of ammunition and I didn't bother with any of the armour that the centre offered. The last time I went, I held off an entire flanking force of 4 guys trying to get to my team's general *smug grin*.
