Once in an Unreal Tournament 3 melee-only match. I had to apologize afterwards.

Yes all the time. It always results in my friends relying on me during team matches more than I want them to. And when we lose due to my lack of wanting to lead I throw it in their face as to who got the majority of the kills.

They have started calling me Kobe, since I can get the highest number of points in a game and still lose.

yeah, when it comes to fpses, I'm always either doing extremely well, or extremely badly, and there's ALWAYS a "guy" that dominates the entire team!

Yes, but I only notice at the end of the game (I get sucked in). It happened that I'm 40-4 and the rest has 12 kills at best. Good times.

Far Cry 2 in every single lan match. I'm never a sniper except in that game. I upgrade to the .50 in just a few minutes and then all it takes is a clipping shot to someone's toenail to instakill them. I only lose if I ever decide winning is too boring, so I switch to a flamethrower or something, just for fun.

Yeah, but not in an fps game since I don't really play those. But in AC brotherhood multiplayer I have been "that guy" quite a few times. I've gotten first place in wanted (free-for all) matches 4 times in a row and have had such a high leading score that the guy in second place didn't even have half of what I had.

LOL, one of those "oh shit, didn't realise, sorry guys!" moments?

Yeah the Sniper Rifle is supposed to be a one hit kill in that game, but since Ubisoft stopped supporting the game the cheaters and lagswitches make it unbearable. My record on Far Cry 2 online so far is 6 headshots to a guy without him dying, thats the day I stopped playing it.

KillZone 2's Scout (sniper class) is also a one hit kill, but the collission detection is a bit too advanced on that game, as in the gun doesn't count as the person's hitbox (unlike Halo 3 and Far Cry 2), and a shot between a persons arm and torso is a miss! JEBUS!

Grats on being good with the Flamethrower, normally Flamers are TK'ing prats!

Well, never that into competitive gameplay. I just play to enjoy, even if I get killed multiple times. One of the sources of my entertainment is my failures, so that explains that.

Yep, sure have. Its what keeps me playing COD. Its not all the time by any means, but its just often enough to keep me coming back for those moments when I am a Monster truck that walks like a man.

in halo, ace of spades, battlefield, and cod 2 and cod 4 I destroy at those games (against randoms =P) but I can't win by alot in mw2 and blops because those games have the worst community that loves to use anything just to win no matter how nasty it is

Sometimes. I can be 'that Medic' in Bad Company 2, keeping an entire team alive and destroying any flank attempt. I once was 'that guy' in Halo Reach, in SWAT mind you so it's not that big a deal, where my entire team left and I still won 50/3 against a full team of 4.

I remember once, in BC2, I was 'that sniper' who shot three helicopters out of the sky as a sniper. All luck, but I was really laughing the third time it happened.

I never really like to compliment myself much, but I usually come top, or close to top on the leader boards on any Call of Duty game.

Have you even been that guy you know the one who has amazing run on sentences and refuses to use punctuation of any kind I am that guy

Sorry, not trying to me mean. Just... Really? I mean, damn! No period or anything. Unless that was a subtle Zero Punctuation reference, in which case, my trilby's off to you.

On topic, no. I have never been "that guy," even once. I am a single player bloke, and anything but local split-screen confounds me.

Well, I guess there is that one thing... I've never been beaten in a multiplayer match of Brutal Legend. I played the hell out of that game to the point where I don't think I can be conquered. This may just be due to the fact that I'm pretty sure there's only one other guy who plays Brutal Legend on PSN, and he sucks.

Quite often I tend to be high up in score

Lot of FPS games I tend to find myself high up, then again I find it hard to be low down the leaderboard since there's just so many players who do stupid things or don't know how to play.

In fact yesterday playing League of Legends I got 25 kills 7 deaths (highest and lowest in game respectively) as Amumu (a tank char and also my avatar)
Granted we lost that game cause of 2 disconnects on our side...but still kicked some ass

I hate COD:BO but I am really good at it(it just seems to work with my play style) and as a result I am addicted to being 'that guy'. I dont enjoy the gameplay or the game itself but the feeling I get seeing my name at the top of the leaderboard time after time keeps me coming back...consistently :(
