Not really. He just kills my buzz and makes me want to not buy games so I don't watch his videos for games I might want to buy or haven't completed. I seem to have mostly different tastes in games anyway.

I bought Painkiller because it look fucking awesome. I played it and it was fucking awesome. Got somewhat repetitive after a while, but still fantastic stress relieve. Also, nothing quite feels like mowing down an entire crowd of baddies with whirling razorblades of death.

Saint's Row 2. I rented it first, though, but still because of the review. Now, I'm planning on buying it, so I guess the answer is yes. Kind of.

Not solely, it did help me want The World Ends With You with lines like "the things that I hate about this game are the same things that appeal to jRPG fans", but really it was more the ign review that got me to buy it. Oh and silent hill 2, i got my ps2 late.

All of his "reviews" are more or less "this game is terrible", so if I did put any stock in his reviews (which I don't), I'd never purchase another video game again.

I don't watch him for his reviews, I watch him for comedy. As a reviewer, he isn't very good, but he is funny.

He makes good points imo but overexaggerates them for comedic effect so I don't take him too seriously. I do generally agree with him but I'm more likely to buy a game based on the marketing, review sites and friend recommendations (as well as what I feel I want in a game at that point in time, but that's more of a general feeling than a specific "go get that game!" impulse).

I've bought a game because Yahtzee mentioned it and it sounded cool to me to try, but not because he advised it. I bought Scribblenauts for this reason, and he actually pretty much panned the game as being unable to deliver on its core promise. I don't know, I had a ball for three days or so, up until I ran out of words that really produced a surprising result.

Nope. The games that Yahtzee doesn't bash 6 feet under, are available on PC, and within the genres i enjoy i get myself without anyone needing to tell me, usually before he even reviews them. Rest is console exclusive so even if i wanted, i wouldn't be able to get them. But there are certainly a few games that Yahtzee hated and i wanted to grab them just to see how terrible they really are. Sadly, they usually are, but it's a fun experience nonetheless.

Yahtzee hardly likes many games. But I buy it anyway. And see why he doesn't like it.

Saint's Row 2... When it was on sale on Steam. The Silent Hill series. Contrary to what he says, the one I've enjoyed the most is 4, and still haven't finished any of them. Silent Hill 2, I couldn't really get into. And it's HELL to run on a current PC. Had to set a different partition with Win XP to get it to work in some capacity.

I was on the fence about about buying shadow of the colossus but his new video convinced me.
