Have you ever felt a deep, personal hatred towards an NPC?

Anybody working with you in the campaign of Black Ops. Apparently everybody missed the day in basic training when they teach you that you're supposed to shoot at the bad guys. Reznov can be forgiven for reasons that would require me to spoil the plot (which is already held together with scotch tape and elmer's glue), but I was ready to defect to the russians by the time I was halfway through the campaign.

Case in point: the part in the first Vietnam level where you come out on top of a hill and have to roll a bunch of napalm barrels into the trench below. I died over a dozen times because the NVA walked up the fucking hill, past the 5 guys who were supposed to be defending the hill, and shot me in the back. After playing that level, I wasn't surprised that we lost the Vietnam War.

Udina from Mass Effect. I hated him so much. Every NPC in Oblivion. Any NPC that stood in my way and trapped me in a shop or a corner. Any hookers that rob me in Fable III. They get taken for a short walk in the woods. Navi for a short time. HEY, LOOK!!

Hmm. Some NPCs are annoying, but sometimes the ones that get you is the players. Not sure who I'd pick. Moria in Cata is quite dreadful. I'm sure I"ll think of more later

Shiro in Guild Wars.

God I hate that bastard. He's nearly unkillable without a massive, and I mean massive, party wide alpha strike, and he only gets stronger the more people you pile on around him.

And Guild Wars keeps bringing him back. Never had a boss that held on so grimly to life. I'd respect him if I didn't hate his miserable guts so much.

Nice daggers though...

The Dunmer from the beginning of Oblivion.

Poor little Dark Elf. Talking so big behind those big, iron bars. Never did you consider that someone could ever reach you, and so close to your release too. That's right. You're going to die in here, and no one is coming for you.

Vanille from Final Fantasy XIII, Vanille from Final Fantasy XIII, VANILLE FROM FINAL FANTASY XIII!!!!
*gasp, gasp, pant...*

I knew they were doing something wrong when I found myself rooting for her to get murdered during one of the early cutscenes.

Fontaine in Bioshock pissed me right the hell off. I wanted to shove a Big Daddy's drill right up his, uh, nose.
You can swear on here -_-, and Sofia from Bioshock 2 ticked me off even more. To quote Yahtzee, she had a voice so smug it made me want to jab a comically sized syringe in her eye every time she opened her fucking mouth.
Well, yeah, but the mods here are a bit too over-eager with the banhammer. Anyway, Fontaine pissed me off for more story related reasons. Without spoiling anything, I had a personal vendetta against the smug bastard.

Moira from Fallout 3. I hate overly chirpy people, and she got annoying fast. I thought I'd gotten rid of her when I had Megaton nuked, but when I went over to survey the damage... think again Mountbatten!

lucy stillman from assassin's creed I think it would have been better to have something happen to her during the escape or something and have him bond with rebecca/random new character in new team.

Yes. Saruman, Phantasia4.

Fucker changed my best character's gender. He became a she! This came from so far out of left field that it struck me quite dumb for a minute, before becoming an intense anger that burned brighter than, well, not 1000 suns but brighter than a 40-watt bulb anyway.

Fuck Saruman. To this day whenever I encounter him in any game I humiliate his ass before dispatching him.

Banning someone for swearing on here would be stupid unless every third word or so was a swear. But yeah, I was pretty satisfied with how Fontaine met his demise. :3

Oh yes...
Especially the ones I'm supposed to keep alive.
They take any chance they get to get themselves killed.

Ninja'd. Damn he was a prick.

But my personal worst is the human enemies in Borderlands who taunt me, and I'll just go straight after them and beat them to death. So satisfying.

Hannah/Hammer in fable 2 - she walks so so so slow and constantly spouts pretentious clichéd crap.
This, easily the most annoying character created through terrible voice acting, writing and 3 dimensional modelling.
