Makes sense. XD.

Of course, I actually speak several languages... And that tends to result in noticing weird things when you compare them.

Like... Kira meaning 'killer' in Japanese. (Though that's not really saying much, since the japanese word is itself a transliteration of the English 'Killer'. But since there's no individual consonants in japanese, and R and L aren't treated as seperate sounds, you end up with Ki-Ra instead.)

Ah language. Always something.

Also reminds me randomly of the following common phrases between German and Dutch.

Ich komm klar

Vs

Ik kom klaar

Now, I won't bother to translate either of those into English, but suffice to say the German is a fairly common and totally harmless phrase, while the almost identical sounding dutch is, although not swearing as such, rather rude.

Fun stuff. XD
Lol, I'm now just fascinated that part of my made up word for Evil, relates to the English-Japanese word for kill.

Spooky coincidence, since I have never looked at any Japanese. I am the language channeler, MMwaaah ha ha!

I'm an English teacher and love words. Often, a word will get stuck in my head, kind of like a song, and stay there for a few days.

I don't know if that counts as addiction, though.

One of my favorites is "whereas." "Perpendicular" comes in a close second.
As a creative writer, I study words closely and sometimes I say them so much they don't sound like words anymore.

Wordsmithing will do that to you...

I'll often attempt to avoid using the same word more than once, often with hilariously awesome results.

Oh, and I've been on a "cull" kick, lately. For some reason, I'm stuck on that word, right now.

during the election, i couldn't STOP MYSELF from saying "reform, reform, reform!" My campaign managers practically had to tape my mouth shut, i loved it so much!

Though i must admit, recently i've grown quite accustomed to "serendipity"

..."serendipity!"

WHAT FUN!
I had a good laugh.

I dare you to stay in character for every post after this during your time on the Escapist.
i'm sure i don't know what you're talking about. My posts are consistant to my character, as i've always said the American public deserves an honest politician.

however it seems my love of "Serendipity" has all but run out. For tonight, at least!
Lol. Sonic Doctor, I've had a look, and so far he does.

Which is interesting, to say the least.

I don't know which is the stranger thought...
Someone pretending to be Ross Perot. (on a computer gaming forum no less.)

Or the possibility that you are in fact Ross Perot...

It's just... Mind boggling either way.

My creative writing professor has really done some wonders for my writing. He's got me seriously thinking about using new and "fresh" ways to say things. I had never really considered poetry as a major part of my creative writing career, but with the kind of responses I am getting from him on my poetry, I just might become a poet. Well, not entirely, I'm still heavily invested in my short stories and novels.

Well, if he is acting, he is a king at it. I did the same and studied his comments, it is very good.

If he is Perot, it would be just epic.

I'm simply trying to promote my image, and more importantly my party, to an audiance that typically would not be exposed to my politics!

Oh, but i really -do- love those video games you kids are playing these days! I especially like to get the Blazing Blues, and the Uncharting is such a hoot! I think my favorite is Team-Up Forts, though, on my computer.

edit: i forgot to mention puns! i love me a good pun, as you guys probably know! This horsehockey really gets me going!
Heh. Well, whatever the truth of the situation, you're doing well.

Nice puns by the way. Not to mention playing off the perception that the older generation can't possibly know anything about games right?

My grandmother plays them, so I know that's not true.

Of course, the whole thing is an open question, and the general anonymity of the internet creates a lot of scepticism in most of us.

I do love my random coincidences though...
Which reminds me that my mother worked for EDS when they were dealing with Y2K issues.

So hooray for the internet. Where anything is possible... XD

I keep saying 'psyched'. As in 'dude, I'm so psyched for this movie'.
It's never coming back in style but I seem to be stuck like a broken record :S

Really? No one has said 'gay'? Really? I find that really hard to believe but whatever, I'll be the first to say it. I used to be addicted to calling things 'gay' but ever since I came out, I find myself not saying it almost at all... Idk, it's weird...

I still use it. As a writer, I believe nobody can own a word(unless they have been creating a new language like I have). Only if the word is made up, can someone own it.

If I want to say something is gay, I can. I write and say what I want, it is my right, as long as I'm not harming anybody.

I am addicted to Floccinoccinihillipillification (I probably spelt it wrong, but i cant spell) I use it in conversation when ever applicable, even if it floccinoccinihillipillifies my arguement.

Here is the spelling, floccinaucinihilipilification.

From, Dictionary.com. For those of you that want to know what it means:

(?noun
Rare. the estimation of something as valueless (encountered mainly as an example of one of the longest words in the English language).)

"Countenance" used as a noune rather than a verb would be my addiction word. I read Steven Brust's Paarfi romances and then started speaking just like the characters, including over-use of that word.
