All the time! Though the word changes from month to month.

It used to be evidently, then equilibrium, now its arbitrary.

I have definitely had periods where I repeatedly blurt out random words with no context.

There were a few of them, but it always seems to come back to 'potato' more so than anything else.
there's something about that word that makes it atractive, in almost every language.

Pomme de terre, aardappel, potatoe, patata, etc.

See? it makes sense!

Macadamia. It's just so much FUN to say.
Well you are just one big nut, a macadamia nut.

Yes I agree, it is fun to say.
Nuts come from trees, trees are nature, and nature is beautiful. So thank you for the compliment!

Seriously, have you ever found yourself addicted to a word?

What I mean is, have you ever found that there is a word that you are using almost constantly?

And no words like, the, a, etc, of course.

I started the first post of this thread with the word I am addicted to. "Seriously". The main reason I believe this has happen is I have made it a defensive measure in most of my posts.

Over the beginning months that I first became an Escapist member, I had lots of people quoting me and asking if the view points I make are serious, or if I am just joking around or trolling.

So, I guess it has become a habit. The majority of the time I want to emphasize that I mean what I am saying, I use "seriously" to convey it.

I'll even broaden this discussion to include phrases as well.
I don't feel the need to use any particular word, though I AM prone to, as TVtropes would say, Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness.

Also, what is your avatar?

So you like to use long words and or be long winded. I tend to be long winded on the Escapist.

As for my avatar, it is from an episode of the show Scrubs. It is from season 4 episode 6 called "My Cake". The janitor gets a crane and starts messing with Dr.Kelso's mind.

Here is the scene, I wished to include the whole scene in my Gif, but it would be just too big for the 200Kb memory limit on avatars.

twewy much?

also "to be fair" I don't say it but every one else seems to try and to cram it into every sentence, well people who live near me anyway.

for me though probably "technically" I use it when ever I'm explaining anything.
