Have you ever gotten involved in a fad?

For a brief, dark period of my life in grade 4, I was, like the rest of my school, obsessed with beyblade toys. I only realized how ridiculous they were after watching the godawful TV show.
I was involved in Pokemon before it was a fad. I learned about it from a magazine and I tried to tell everyone how wonderful it was but no one cared until about two weeks later. Suddenly, they were trying to get ME into it! As for Yugioh...yeah, my friends were all doing it so I thought there had to be something to it so I started playing. i got into it for a good while. Never got into "Magic: The Gathering," never really got into Harry Potter, and I curse Stephanie Meyer for making Twilight.
I usually start them, to be honest.

Magic: The Gathering doesn't count. I didn't treat it as a fad, I actually had fun, and only stopped playing once I got out of high school.

I was (and actually still am) shamelessly addicted to Pokémon.
I was also quite shamefully addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh! when it was in its first season and a half or so. Ah well, at least knowing what's going on makes the Abridged series all the more enjoyable.

oh, beyblades too. I nearly lost a finger almost every time i played that.
The only "fad" i've been involved in recently is in terms of clothes, i've bought in on the fact that around here, its fashionable as hell to wear flowery dresses, waist high skirts, "boyfriend blazers" , etc.

I hardly ever know what fads are popular at the time.

something called being alive durrr.. seriously though i was into pokemon yugioh beyblade and some others i don't remember
