Pokemon
Digimon
Yugioh
Bionicle
Beanie Babies (You'd be surprised)
Digimon again.
Magic The Gathering
Yugioh again.

Oh card games, I wish I could quit you!
I don't see how Magic the Gathering is a fad.
OT: Pokemon and Yugioh were the two big ones for me.
Perhaps it was only a fad at my school, or maybe it's the world's longest running fad? Quick, someone call The Guinness Book of World Records!!

Poke'mon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Mortal Kombat. (Mortal Kombat was HUGE at my school.)

...I thought we were talking about clothes. (Those count, right?)

Well, at one point I got caught up with the whole Converse thing. Had like 3 different pairs.

Halo

Saying "your mom" every other sentence when I was in 7th grade as an attempt to be cool
(before I grew into a slightly more intelligent individual)

And... not really anything else as of recently

I still like the Yu-gi-oh card game, but I don't have my cards anymore. :(

I used to collect Poke'mon cards too, but I never learned how to play. I still enjoy the games from time to time, I just wish they'd make a more substantial game.

Substantial? How so exactly?
What do you mean by substantial?

-Just make the Poke'mon games they have now but in 3D, not like Stadium, an actual Poke'mon adventure game in 3D. You could walk around and actually see a Zubat flying around or a Ponyta running.

-More balanced Poke'mon, instead of just having about twelve that can rape everything else (Gyrados, Garchomp, etc.). I hate not being able to use some of my favorite Poke'mon effectivley just because of how weak they are.

-Make more regions accessible in one game (Hoenn, Johto, Kanto, etc.).

-Maybe even make it an MMO?

Basically just Pokemon. A bunch of my friends played Yu-Gi-Oh, but I just avoided it because I saw the TV show once. All I saw were emo kids playing with cards that had pictures and numbers on it. Didn't seem that appealing.

Where's the line between something that's genuinely popular and a fad? Is it just the short life span of the popular thing in question? Can it still be considered a fad if your love for the popular thing in question sustained for a much longer period of time than for everybody else? Or is it intention that qualifies something as a fad? Maybe if you got into it because everyone else did. But what if you got into it because you saw somebody else with it and you thought it looked fun, not just socially cool?

Whatever. I'll just say pretty much any popular kids thing from the 90s.

If they did that it would be the greatest pokemon game ever.

A little bit when Pokemon started, then Bionicle.

Not much after that. My friend and I weren't involved in the Yugioh fad. Hell, we refused to partake in such a fad.
While others sat in shade and played their little card game at recess, we said "NO! We will not do what others enjoy when we don't want to and don't enjoy it ourselves! NO!"
