Have you ever had a dream about a game?

I just (And when I say just, I mean less than a minute ago), woke up from an incredible dream. Mass Effect 3 had come out, and it was absolutely amazing. I think this is the best trigger possible to make a thread I've been wanting to do for a while now; have you ever had a dream linked to a game? If so, can you narrate it?

The game, in my head, started in Tuchanka, and instead of playing as Shepard, it begun telling the story from a Krogan's perspective, somehow, I knew it was Grunt. I was walking along what seemed to be a campus dormitory row, while some other Krogan talked about how these were the female camps. It was all in first person view. As the group of about 5 krogan closed in on a particular room, a green Krogan came out and mourned that his "female had just been killed", and suddenly the whole place bursted into caos. We ran through the cyberpunk oriented hallway and up a set of stairs, ascending into some streets that looked more like a neon fueled New York, than the inhospitable Tuchanka, and pursued three huge robots through a train, while (And I can by no means explain this), some other guy kept repeating "Don't walk out", I assumed he was asking that I don't jump out of the moving hover-train; why no, subcouncious, I do not intend to jump out of a moving vehicle, thank you. Now here's the weirdest part, although inside the dream, I knew I was just playing Mass Effect 3 on my Xbox, from the comfort of my couch (Which is strange, because I play on the PC), I would look around and see not my living room and whatnot, but I was actually in the game, which is why I talk about the actions of my character in first person.

Utimately, it all lead to a massive boss fight where I got killed and suddenly took control of what I think was Samara. Maybe the whole dream-game would begin by having some or all the characters from the other two Mass Effects die, which would be rather interesting.

So, does anyone else remember any dreams that they might've had, relating or just completely regarding a game?

Only this week I've dreamed of Shadowrun AND Gears of War 2. Which is weird because I don't uaually dream.

I was playing as/was a troll. Had a SMG and stepped through a doorway only to see a lineage troll rush at me with wired reflexes and a katana. He hit me and I knew I couldn't take another hit. I teleported back through the wall, throwing anti-magic generators on the floor running backwards firing the gun. He charged in with wired reflexes blocking half the bullets with his sword. Then he got me with another slice and I was dead.

Respawned at the start of the next round. Picked up a katana thinking "two can play at this game" and then got woken up... Damn alarm.

90% of my dreams have random video game elements in them. And I love that.

then I sometimes dream I'm IN a game, and that's AWESOME!

And then I sometimes dream I'm playing a game....AND IT SUCKS. Why? BECAUSE NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANYMORE!

I dreamed I was playing Zelda. Every time I changed rooms in that dungeon, the graphic style changed, and the rooms changed when I went back to them. Try solving a dungeon when it's constantly changing! >_<

I dreamed I was playing TWEWY...Or rather, I dreamed that I was on the menu screen for 6 hours figuring the damn drop rate equation! >_<

And I dreamed of Brawl, before release. ...That just made me want the game even more. >_<

Holy Crap!

I was just telling my boyfriend about how I had a dream last night about Left 4 Dead. xD I won't get into details here though. :3 It's not appropriate. xD Haha

But yeah, I have plenty of times dreamed about a video game.

I could have sworn that it wasn't a dream, and that Minecraft had the 1.4 update out.
It added something called a 'mixer', and I was going to be all over that. What crazy crap could I do with a 'mixer'? Also, modding API? Yes.

Yup. Had one just last night, but I can't remember what it was about. Felt vaguely like Left 4 Dead, or something...

I think everyone's had the Tetris dream. Stacking blocks in your head after playing it for way too many hours that day...

I once had a really weird dream

It was Higurashi and Mass Effect 2 spliced together with a dash of Umineko, it was both awesome yet terrifying.

[sub]Now waiting for the inevitable Mnemosyne dream... Will not be good...[/sub]

When I could still remember my dreams, frequently and often.
Also a great deal.

A lot of them sort of blended together, too. It was like the worst crossover fanfiction of all time.

Certainly. I once woke up to an unfamiliar alarm, instantly got up on my knees and asked "Where the hell is the turret?". I had played C&C Renegade or a similar game late in to the previous night.

But I've had many gaming-related dreams. Rise Of Nations, Half-Life, WoW, and especially Diablo II, are some games that have been inside my head that way.

Interesting question. I've had a couple of game-dreams over the years, but the most intense one was around 10 years ago. I was like 13 years old and totally obsessed with Fallout 1 and 2. So one night I dream that I'm in the wasteland, with my mom, and she doesn't know what the fuck happened or where she is. I exactly know where we are and get the bad feeling that something is coming. Yep, the supermutants were running at us and there was an old radio-tower, so I yelled at my mom to run to the tower. I was so crazily scared and must've been shouting in my dream that my mom actually woke me up. When I saw her I told her to get to the fucking radio tower! She must've been thinking that I've totally lost it haha.

Then I went to the kitchen barely realizing I'm awake, it was THAT intense. Even as I was drinking a glass of water, I was still feeling as if the fucking mutants were coming.

EVE online many times as well as about my D&D character. Best dream I had was I had just bought a wonderfully beautiful Chimera, for some reason I walking through the ship talking to crew and I reached the drone bay/hangar, the glorious fighters, so sleek, so huggably awesome. I cant wait till I can afford a Chimera.

I had a dream in which I was chased - hunted, if you will - by Hunters from Half-Life.

It was pretty horrifying.

I had an SSBB dream once:

It was in the Subspace Emissary. Link was fighting off Primids until he discovered he gets surrounded by a bunch of sword Primids.

He holds his ground, not knowing what to do, but out of nowhere, a blue energy sword hacks through a wave of primids. We see a red suit, then his face. It's ZERO. He helps Link, who then fight off the Primids. It was freaking epic.

Then I woke up. :(
