Have you ever liked a game everyone else hated (or just said it sucked)?

I really like playing The Sims 3, I find it really relaxing. Most people just laugh in your face if you say anything though.
And they're silly. Just because a game isn't violent doesn't make it bad.

Also, it probably suffers from that silly "casual" stigma like Angry Birds and Bejeweled. Like Jim Sterling said, Angry Birds is not a bad game.

Personally, I think more people need to make Social Simulation games. There's only a small handful in comparison to say, the loads of first person shooters that are being released.

I really enjoyed Dragon Age 2... hell, I even liked Merrill. Everyone tells me she was annoying, and I was like 'wat?'.

I ADORED Advent Rising, even though the critics raped it.

And then there's The Void. Nobody knows it exists, but the people who do are like 'Oh, it's too wierd. It's too complex.

I also liked Splinter Cell: Conviction, Perfect Dark Zero, Second Sight, Mercenaries 2, both Kane and Lynch games, Too Human, Fable 3, and DarkSector.

And then there's Dead Island, which everyone seems to be ripping on.

Dantes Inferno. I hear so much hate on this game, but I honestly had a good time and felt moved by quite a few scenes. The only gripe I have is the look of the final boss.

Hands down, FFXIII.

So underrated. And I got hours of entertainment listening to the fanboize cry about linearity.(like its something new to FF games)

Their salty tears of "waaaaah, where did my towns and shops go!!" sustain me to this day.

I love Tenchu games (even tenchu Z). They're universally panned by the gaming press. It's funny too that everyone points to the original PS1 tenchu games as being one of the sires to modern stealth gameplay but then they turn around and shit all over the series every time a new game comes out.

Yes. Personally I was incredibly fond of mobile suit gundam Crossfire. You're supposed to lock on to your enemies. The game gets a lot less clumsy when you start doing that.

I consider it one of the best RTS ever made. Thats how much I love it.
I agree. I also wasn't aware that it was hated anywhere other than the dark pits of the internet where unicorns and other bringers of happiness go to die. I thought it was regarded either more or less positively or apathetically. Shows what I know.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Falsebound Kingdom. It was universally ridiculed. I enjoyed it. No one seemed to like Record of Agarest War. I thought that it was fun enough.

FFX-2. Rikku is so my type, and playing dress-up with a hottie.... what? At least I'm honest. Plus the guns the Alchemist got were fkin sweet. Also, I'm addicted to blue magic, which FFX-2 called Gun Mage.

You know what I actually hated most about Dirge of Cerberus?

They made Yuffie look like a dunce. That was awful. I feel like I deserve a game about Yuffie after that. Because Yuffie is better than that. Even though it would be even harder to make a game about Yuffie.

Also the game was indeed an unfinished product. But another VII game is better than nothing. That's how I look at it. It's a nice little dessert snack if you need more VII in your diet.

Hmmm Neverwinter nights 2 and Fallout Tactics both seems to be unloved by the community at large, yet i liked both :)
