Ever met someone famous? Share your stories!

A couple of years back, Neil Gaiman came to speak at my college. He was really nice and down to earth. My friend picked him up from the airport, and they just went over to the Lit House and chatted and ate sushi. He gave some of his salmon to the resident cat, Edith, immediately becoming her favorite author to ever visit. He went out and had tea with a group of students, too. He was awesome.

Several. Some WWE wrestlers, a rock star or two... nothing really worth writing home about.

My father, however, has dined with Donald Trump on several occasions, and met a lot of people on casino boats. I am envious. I can only imagine the food one eats with the Trump.

Uh, a couple, one more well known than the other:

Richard Attenborough just off Charing Cross Road (actually, nothing more than a chance 'howdy-do' that was so very English, hat tipping and all)
Graham McNeil (GW author, so not sure if that counts)

And my big sis frequently met Maggie Smith while she (the former) temped at Waitrose in South Kensington.

I've briefly met Jeremy Clarkson. We didn't really speak, but he signed my cast (I had a broken arm at the time, it's a long story)

I got a picture with Toby Keith. My cousin TOUCHED The Undertaker. I saw Marlon Wayans in a hotel I was working at. Other than that, no.

I met Scarlett Johansson and Kal Penn once. They came to my college to campaign for Obama and some time afterwards when the crowds had left it turns out they came back to the student center.

Scarlett was a good foot shorter than me. And I am not a tall person.

I got a picture with someone on a college basketball team once but I don't remember who it was and I now attend that universities rival so I don't care to think about it much.

I met Nicholas Cage while hanging out on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It was late and he was hanging out with a couple of friends (bodyguards?). People were constantly going up to him and taking pictures. My group and I saw this and waited in a less crowded part of the street until he came towards us to get away from the crowd (Lulz). He was...thin. The way the edge of a katana is thin. The camera really must add a few pounds because he looked rather ill and out of it. Yes he was a bit tipsy so that might have had something to do with it, but I'm pretty sure Callista Flockart could have taken him down. A very random encounter indeed.

I met Jerry Holkins, writer of Penny Arcade, when I was in line for the Gears 3 demo at PAX East. I also met Graham Stark, Paul Saunders, and Kathleen De Vere at PAX East. They count right?

Well, mines' pales in comparison to the rest in the thread, but I met Paul Thomson, the drummer for the band Franz Ferdinand. The reason being he's some kind of relative of my aunt.

I live in hollywood and my dad's in the business, that being said i don't really care about meeting actors. I've met a few, but its no big thing.

The people i enjoyed meeting the most were Quentin Rampage Jackson, Tito Ortiz (about 7-8 years ago), Chuck Norris, Kru Puck (The Muay Thai fighter in Blood Sport), and a few other fighters.

I met Chuck Liddell but that guy was a dick.

Edit: How could i forget, i also met Jerry Only!

A few, but the only one who's really notable, due to a lengthy conversation:
Jeff Martin. Then again, seeing as he's from my hometown, I suppose that only half counts.

I ran straight into the King of Swedens stomach when I was a kid. Called him a stupid old man, apparently. This is however just as I've been told. Got no memory of it whatsoever. Apart from that I've seen a few celebrities from a distance. I don't consider it a big deal really. I would never run up to one and start pestering them.

Edit: I've also gotten Sissela Kyle's(Swedish comedic actress) boobs shoved in my face.

Met Brad Paisley once. I'm not really a country music fan, but he was at the County Fair we were attending and people thought he was a pretty big deal. I ended up shaking hands with him after he played. My sister was adamant about us meeting him. This was some years ago. Close to eight to nine years ago, perhaps. I suppose it still counts.

Also saw Will Sasso, from Mad T.V. at the airport. He boarded before everyone else, so I didn't get to shake his hand or anything. Also didn't see him when we landed. He was pretty quick.lol
