Have you ever really liked a character everyone else hated?

The small robot guy from borderlands. Thought it was actually quite nice to defend him as a way to start the game.

Raiden, because I loved Metal Gear Solid and was happy to see the torch get passed on to a new character. The Arbitor from Halo for the same reason.

Also, Carth from Knights of the Old Republic... he catches a lot of flak for existing but I thought he was awesome.

Raiden from MGS2.

I loved him from the beginning but that may be because I never played the first MGS, but still I didn't understand the hate for him.

I think people were disappointed because Solid Snake wasn't the main character (but everyone seems to love MGS3...) so they acted like he was the worst. I liked him because he actually had a heart, unlike Snake (but that was the point, I think) although he was a bit whiny at some times. MGS2 is still the best one.

Agrees with Moira Brown. I really do not understand all the hate against her. She is fun nice if a bit weird. (always loved doing those quests for her)

Probably her voice. And the fact that her book sucked.

I generally don't hate characters that much, so I guess there are a lot of characters that everyone hates that I don't mind. There are some characters that can get reeeeaaaaalllyy annoying, but for the most part I rarely hate characters. I just don't really care about them that much instead.

Another one: Ashley from RE4. People hate her because she made the gameplay much harder, but that was the whole point, she wasn't intended to help from a gameplay perspective. She was pretty hot too, although the fact that she was voiced by the same person who voiced Cindy from Jimmy Newtron negated that effect.

and sandy from spongebob squarepants. But the reason why i despise ashley from re4 is because of the constant LEEON HEEELPPP I STUBBED MY TOE. If she was a mute i'd love that game so much more than i do... which is already a lot

Nathan Drake from Uncharted. Alot of people can't stand him and say he is a douche but I find him entertaining.

Also, I think Sasuke gets a pretty bad rap. He's an arrogant jerkass turned psychopath, yes, but he's not some whiny angsty brat, just a prick.

Sasuke from Naruto? If so, I would agree there. Naruto is ultimatley my favorite charactor... well actually a handful of them are. I wouldn't put Sasuke in my favorite charactor bunch as his role is pretty played out, but I don't think he is annoying or anything. Of course, I am only up to the part where the Hokagi is being attacked by the snake guy. Oni-sumthin? Sasuke is chasing down the guy with the urn of sand on his back.

two or three arcs after where you are sasuke becomes a whiney ***** OH MY GOD MY BROTHER IS EVOL I GOTTA KILL EHQIUWNEWQHJBEN. he is selfish and a fucking smug little shit that needs to have his legs broken BUT NOO THAT CAN'T EVEN HAPPEN ANYMORE.

but there is a thing that anyone who liked 8 hates 9 and vice versa. Very rare to see someone who liked both.

Um... yeah, pretty much this all over. I hated him to start with but her grew on me, he was no Snake, but he was still pretty awesome. I just wanted MGS Rising to come out so I get to play another Metal Gear game again.

I have come to like Hope like crazy. At first, I thought he was a whiny little brat, but as his hatred towards that Snow guy grew, so did my love for Hope. I've never related to a character like I do with Hope.

Seriously, I do not get what everyone has against this character. I mean sure, she's squeaky, flighty and mad as a fruitbat, but guys, I just don't feel the hate. Seriously, she's not that annoying. In fact, to be honest, she's the sort of girl I'd buy a drink, maybe take home to meet the parents (well, if she didn't have a 6ft tall Australian girlfriend with hair like an arctic wolf, that is...)
