Have you ever walked out on a movie?

Has there ever been a movie you're watching in a theater that's so bad that you just left during the middle of it?

The only movie I've ever walked out on was Night at the Museum 2. The first movie was REALLY good, and one of my favourite movies, but every scene in the second film felt like a slap in the face since every scene had some annoying aspect to it. Also, was that Oscar the Grouch and Darth Vader cameo REALLY needed? If they simply HAD to put them in there, they could have at least kept that funny joke they used in the trailer with them, rather than cut it out for some unknown reason.

Nope. Not once. If I pay $13.75Yes, that's how much it is at my theater ALL TIMES OF THE DAY AND WEEK, then I'm staying regardless of how much the movie sucks. Thankfully, I only go to see movies that I think will be good, and usually avoid seeing bad movies in theaters.

I walked out of the first Kill Bill. I'm just not into Terantino's at all. It's the only movie I've ever walked out of.

Left from "The Last Airbender" XD That was my first and luckily only (for now) mistake when picking the movie.

Nope, for exactly the same reason as above. Going to the movies is expensive, even if the film is rubbish, you want to experience all you paid for.

Four Lions was godawful. Not very funny or witty like it was made out to be in the reviews, pretty crap to be honest. Thankfully, we didn't see it at the cinema, one of my housemates bought the DVD and we were watching it at home.

We turned it off halfway through and ended up breaking the disc into several pieces. /That/ was the most hilarious part of the movie.

I won't hesitate to walk out on a movie and either go home or make my way over to another movie if I'm by myself. If I'm with another person I will typically tough it out or go out in the lobby and rock some Time Crisis 3 or pinball if it's really bad. One of my ex's is the general manager at a nearby theater so typically the only thing I pay for is soda/popcorn so I have the luxury of not feeling like I'm pissing away money when/if I walk out. So far (off the top of my head) this year I've skipped out on Cars 2, Green Lantern, Sucker Punch, Your Highness, and Priest. Im getting dragged into Transformers Dark of the Moon this weekend with some friends and I'm planning on bringing a LOT of quarters.

I go in with my gf and so if the movie is terrible there is somebody there to make-out with. If the movie is good then we watch it. Either way good time is had.

I had a feeling Green Lantern & Priest were going to be a bit.. crap. But Sucker Punch? It looked quirky and all, but was it really that bad?

(I am going to use your opinion to determine whether to buy the DVD or not since the cinema is way more expensive)

I wish prices for movies here were like that. At any theater I've been to in this country the ticket has been $20 or more. Just a hint for anybody thinking of coming here: just about everything in this country tends to be marketed up-market [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UpMarketing], and will be priced that way. Think as if every consumer product in the country was marketed like the PS3 at launch. Yeah, that's what shopping is like here. "Oh, something I don't absolutely need that looks cool! Oh, damn, it's too expensive right now, gotta come back later..." *sigh and move on*

Nope. For one thing, I never go the cinema alone. So if its a good movie, enjoy. If its a bad movie, we just make fun of it, so another kind of enjoy.

At least this way I can justify watching 'white chicks' in the theater. The movie wasn't good by itself, but our cracks at it made us fall out of our seats laughing.

I walked out of War of the Worlds (The Tom Cruise one)

I was thrown out of The Passion of the Christ.

Long ago I walked out of Toys (weird and crappy Robin Williams movie), but that's more because I was young and my parents decided to walk out, so I didn't have much of a choice. I don't even really remember much about the movie.

Since then, nope. If I pay for a movie, I'm going to see it all the way through. Its not as if my walking out gets me my money back or prevents it from going to the theater/movie studio.

Paul Blart Mall Cop

It was supposed to be a comedy. It wasn't. 30 minutes in and 0 laughs later I gave up and walked out. Only movie I've walked out on.

Well, while I personally found War of the Worlds decent (at least enough to stay for), I'm particularly interested in what got you kicked out of Passion.

I went into the first bay-formers movie with almost no expectations. Within 20 minutes I had walked out.

The first Twilight movie. Like many others who didn't know what it was and just went in to see vampires, I succumbed to ignorance and agreed to accompany a few female friends to see it.

After realizing how devastating boring and horrifyingly shit it was, me and my other unfortunate buddy made like a fetus and busted out of that ****.
