So far (off the top of my head) this year I've skipped out on Cars 2, Green Lantern, Sucker Punch, Your Highness, and Priest.
I had a feeling Green Lantern & Priest were going to be a bit.. crap. But Sucker Punch? It looked quirky and all, but was it really that bad?

(I am going to use your opinion to determine whether to buy the DVD or not since the cinema is way more expensive)
Sucker Punch wasn't bad, but I can see how it isn't for everyone. It's got that very stylistic Zack Snyder thing about it, so if you've enjoyed his previous movies (300, Watchmen, DotD) then you'll probably like it. Just don't expect much of a story, but the action scenes are pretty damned good.

OT: Like someone else stated, if I pay full price to see a movie, I'm watching that thing till the end whether it's a pile of shit or not. Case in point; I didn't walk out of Revenge of the Fallen.

I never actually walked out as I rarely go to movies by myself, but there are a few I would have loved to leave:

The Libertine: A nasty movie about Johnny Depp's 16- or 1700s character dying of an STD.
Cloverfield: A boring movie with no plot and no resolution with that damn shakycam.
Monsters vs Aliens 3D: 2 seconds of 3D and a crap plot.
Alice in Wonderland: I really should give up on Tim Burton films.

I haven't walked out on a movie, but during 'Meet the Spartans' I exclaimed "What IS this shit?" and got a cheer from the rest of the theater.

No, but there are some that my parents have rented that I would have walked out on, had they dragged me to the theaters to see it.

Tried to watch Elektra Luxx but, inbetween the shitty script and the poor acting from the lead character, I found it impossible to finish. Not even Timothy Olyphant and Joseph Levitt-Gordon could save it for me - and I rank those two among some of my top favourite actors. Every scene was an excuse to point out how hot the actresses were and they seemed to be trying to tell three different almost completely unrelated stories at once.

Long story short, it really fucking sucked.

It hid in its own stupidity. Most people tell me it's quirky and different, but I find it to be the opposite - it's more just a love letter to anime. Sadly, it's a love letter to the shitty parts of anime: bullshit plotlines, terrible acting, excuses for making shit blow up and the over-sexualisation of young, pretty girls.

Of course, most people tell me that those are the reasons they actually enjoy the film... so to each their own, I suppose.

Me and my family walked out on Snow Dogs when I was about 6, that was an awful film.
Instead we joined in with my brother, who was watching Star Wars Episode 2. Much better.

Yep. The one and only movie I ever walked out on is Cloverfield.
I almost walked out on Bruno, but I didn't. Held out on that one.

I will never forgive Tim Burton for what he did to my precious Alice in Wonderland. When the Hatter dances at the end..I shudder to even think of that scene. Futterwacken?? Also the Jabberwocky looked god-awful. And Alice isn't supposed to wear armor!!
*shakes fist for eternity*

OT I almost walked out of Sucker Punch, mostly because of some painful scenes like the "dancing" scenes where the chick just sways back and forth. But I found enough awesome things in that movie to stay.

Never. If I'm going to pay the extreme prices at the box office, I will sit through the entire film.

I walked out on Skyline when the black character was killed exactly half way through

It was then I realised how generic it was

AND THEY RIPPED OFF THE ALIENS FROM CRYSIS
That movie was horrible! :S
I went to the sneak preview and when I saw the title, I looked it up on IMDB (rated 4.5 out of 10)
I tried to stay till the end, but when one alien began DANCING at the car park, I left, crying and laughing at the same time...

Yea NO not gonna happen since the price of one ticket (at the exchange rate today) is 21 USD yes thats twentyf*ckingone dollar a ticket (for a fun info a new full price PS3/Xbox360 is almost 94$) most of it is probably taxes, the second part is the monopoly I'm guessing, more or less just one company running all the cinemas...

If nothing else, you don't have the same "right" to whine of how bad the movie was, since you know the last minutes might make the movies worth seeing... :)

Despicable Me. The only reason I went in to see it was because Inception tickets were sold out. The movie was boring as fuck. I almost walked out of The Last Airbender but me and my friends were having so much fun MST-ing...

i tough it out regardless, there is usually at least some minor aspect that makes it enjoyable. my twin brother and my best friend went to see that grind house double feature, they loved planet terror but only watched like 20 minutes of death proof. i love Tarantino so i watched it and loved it. when i told them about the end of it and the wicked awesome car chase they were mildly upset. but i stay regardless.

Avatar.

I got to the part where they were in the big tree and just got up, said "this is Ferngully with blue cat-people!" and walked out.
