Got forced to do some shooting in the finnish military.
I was a medic, but I got 'volunteered' to a few special weapons training camps.
Sako TRG 42 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sako_TRG] Sniper Rifle
M72LAW [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/66_Kes_88], why the hell did they let me shoot a live round, I don't know. Saying that it's recoilless is also a bit of a lie.
APILAS [http://tietokannat.mil.fi/kalustoesittely/media/1087198747_apilas1.jpg] Shot a non-explosive round with one of these.
NSV anti-air machine gun [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NSV_machine_gun]
And RK-95 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rk-95] our standard issue assault rifle.
Haven't really done any sword swinging or arrow shooting
I have fired Lee Enfields, a couple of different pump action, semi auto and double barrel 12 guages (I think one was a Benelli) a 9mm handgun (I think it was a Baretta but it was a long time ago) and an AKM. None of them were mine however, the AKM belonged to this guy I met on a trip to Russia and the rest belonged to the father of a childhood friend of mine, so I haven't fired a gun for a long time.
I'm very well-trained in using it, I used to participate in big battles with my reenactment crowd (no staged stuff, I mean actually whaling on one another with swords, axes, spears etc, albeit blunt ones... ah, the most fun way to get your bones broken). I built a matching round shield, too:
Like this, but I fixed linen over the wood and painted it blood-red, and the rim's not made from metal but from thick and sturdy animal hide. Took me a while, but it was fun to build.
Other than that, during my time with the Bundeswehr I of course used both the P8 pistol and the G36 assault rifle, and I even got to practice with the M3 machine gun (although I had to clean it later, and let me tell you, cleaning a machine gun is a *****).
I have, but I have also been in the army.
I have fired:
Mounted Machine guns on trucks or wherever, unmounted as well
MG42
Automatic Rifles
Pistols
Bazookas
Knives
My hands
When I read the title I thought "Nah, I don't think I have..." but reading through the thread I saw a few things I hadn't thought of.
I'm not bad at archery, I can hit the centre colour on the target at 25 meters about 3/5 times. I'm not sure how hard/easy that is but I was quite proud of myself at the time and one of the better aims in my class.
I also did fencing for about 2-3 years. I was pretty competant with the Foil (got stabbed in the arm when the rubber bit came off the end of my opponents sword though) and I had played around with Sabres a bit.
I've been paintballing if that counts, but I didn't get the hang of aiming til I'd used almost all my paintballs for the day =(.
Back when I was in year 5 (UK school system - so I'd be...about 9 years old I think) I used to do archery. Long bow. I could hit the target - just not accuratly - the teacher didn't like me either - I was the youngest there, I was "one of them dam lefties" and my eyesight wasn't/isn't the best.
I gave up after a year - it conflicted with school too much, and I was getting *really* bad pains all down my left side.
Swords - I have a wooden kendo(sp?) practice sword and I play around with that a fiar bit. I can swing various 'real' swords though - WW1 British infantry officer sword, Napoleonic cavalry sabre and a cutlass (woot! pirate sword!).
Shooting - sadly, the biggest thing I've ever used was an air rifle, made to look like an M1 Garand. It was fun, but I was really young when my dad let me use it. I've also used various air pistols.
The most destuctive thing I actually own and use- an airsoft replica of an L85A1.
I've used a bow, swung swords foam and real, I've used knives, I have fired a double barrel 12 guage shotgun and fired a silenced scoped bolt action hunting rifle but that's it.
When I was a kid I visited my friend's house, and in the kitchen there was a gun just laying on the top of a cardboard box. I picked it up thinking it was a toy, though I thought it was strangely heavy. I aimed at my friend and was gonna pull the trigger, then her dad came in the room and said it was a real gun.
I have no idea if it was actually loaded or not, but I can't say I think a person who leaves a gun in the middle of the kitchen would be smart enough to leave it unloaded. >_>
Done archery at school and the Renfest, as well as fired my uncle's hunting bow. I'm a strangely good shot, but lack the strength it takes to pull the hunting bow by myself.
I'd like to get a chance to use a firearm someday as well, because the closest thing I've done to a gun is paintball.
Ok lets see here:
a 22.? no .22. I forget where the decimal goes.
A 12 gauge.
a BB gun
Combat knives.
my friend got a scottish claymore and a katana for christmas so we got to screw around with those.
