Hah, nice straw man though. You know exactly what I meant by that particular usage of the word "respect". Hint: it doesn't mean what you're positing. Maybe I'll cut down on my youthful slang; I guess not everyone's hip to it.
I do not think I'm better because of music. I understand music a lot better than most people, but that's because of a decade and a half of training and studying. That doesn't make me better than people; it's like how a lawyer is better at understanding law than a layperson because he's studied it.

Hmm.. interesting and entertaining video, but the song is definitely not up to par with her previous efforts.
The choreography was fantastic but that's to be expected with her music videos. I'm not ashamed to say that I enjoy Lady Gaga in most of what she does. But her severe in your face fashion sense sorta aggravates me a little. Other than that, her music is catchy. The music videos (except Telephone) are nice.
This one wasn't as good as Bad Romance, I feel. It was a little too specific. I wouldn't sing this song aloud as soon as I would Poker Face.

She didn't want to be called by Alejandro, that's it right. Was Alejandro the same person calling her in telephone? And unless she's referring to a specific Ajejandro, the political message was pretty shallow, and had no context to the song. And it's probably not smart to mention advertisements, conidering her last video had at least 9 of them.

I have admit I kinda like Lady Gaga, however only when I dont watch the videos, good voice, catchy songs, but then I watch a video and cant help but despise it
Someone just posted this on the MMO-Champion forums a little while ago, much less... coherently. I was very confused until he finally linked the video, but now that I have watched it I understand where the incoherent nonsense came from, and I stand by my original response:

I give Gaga credit because her videos are unique. I'm not sure they're creative, exactly, because they seem too random and, well, shallow to qualify. Still, you aren't really going to see much else like them, for better or worse, and that's something.
The music is god awful. Catchy, sure, but so is the plague. She's repeating the same goddamn obnoxious hook, nonstop, for what feels like minutes on end. That's not good song writing. The production is average, but any fan of electronic music has heard 10x better.
Anyways, there's little point in evaluating Gaga strictly for her music. It's really a very small part of her overall appeal; the fans are much more excited about her overall aesthetic - the dancing, fashion, imagery, and so forth. If you don't care about such things, you probably don't care for her - and find her popularity annoying. I'm in that camp.

People will kick off about it because they love complaining, they'll probably try to ban the cannibalism(?) at the end because it's "unsympathetic to the recent killings" like The Sun complained about that bit on her tour.
Anyway, it's a good song and I like her. I can see her either going the way of Madonna and Gwen Stefani and still being successful in the future, or disappearing in the next few years.

It's hard to listen to this song without thinking of Ace of Base. Something about the synth background sound makes me keep humming Don't Turn Around.
