I was arrested for battery.
Or assault.
One of the two.
What's the difference? (Honest question).
I honestly don't know. I think battery is worse, which is utterly ridiculous, because assault sounds a lot more violent.
Indeed, there's a reason it's assault rifle, not a battery rifle. Although the latter does sound rather cool.
A rifle that shoots those big-ass C batteries? Sweeeeet :D

Yes. When they took me to the police station they, kindly, put me in a holding cell by myself--rather then in the other cell, which was full of older guys.

Got a call at work once that the police were going to come arrest me, take me away in handcuffs because I had a warrant out for me. No, it wasn't a joke. They said if I could promise to come to the station they would wait two hours.

I went to the station wondering what I did that caused a warrant to be put out on me. They told me two years before I had been ticketed for having my dog off leash and never paid the fine.

Actually I did pay the fine, it was $40 bucks! But they had no record of it and I had no idea where the receipt was. So I had to pay the fine again plus interest.

Should I tell you how I got the fine in the first place? I had my dog in my van, got my bike out, had my leash in my hand, called my dog out of the van and snapped the leash on. Slammed the door and prepared to ride away and bam I got a ticket because my dog had his feet on the ground before the leash went on.

Wow, that really sucks. Let that be a lesson to you all: pay your tickets, and hold on to your receipts!

Repeatedly. About... three times.

Once for possession of a controlled substance (whoever correctly guesses the substance wins kudos!), and two other times for possession of a concealed weapon.

None of these committed with malice or devious intent, mind you. Was all a matter of not checking my pockets before I wandered off to school.
Marijuana? ' ,:D

Some genius at my school got all depressed when no one showed up to her Halloween party, and over the weekend threatened to gun down the school on Monday.

On FACEBOOK.

Needless to say, she was arrested a couple hours later and fun times were had by all. Except her, I guess.

Otherwise, no; my school is pretty tame, and I don't know people that bad.. :]

Closest i've had to being arrested was when Me and a load of mates got taken into side room and searched by the police up bluewater, because we looked suspicious apparently, and some stock had gone missing. Had a few mates arrested for possesion and dealing small amounts. One mate got arrested because he and two mates where running round with toy guns (which had red nozzles and TOY stamped on the side) when SO19 (British Gun cops for anyone who doesnt know) turned up with real guns and had them on the floor with hands on heads and everything. turned out some old lady had phoned the police saying there where people running round shooting at people. Got held in a cell for 3 hours before they where released without charge.

My daddy was arrested on suspicion of stealing a truck. The owner of the truck (who'd asked my dad to park it round the back of the building) didn't get to the police officers on time, so my dad was carted off to a cell. He was let out the next morning with a grovelling apology from the officers responsible.

I took a few classes with Ken Krayeske. You might remember him as the journalist who was arrested for taking pictures of Connecticut governor Jodi Rell during her victory parade.

When I was a kid, someone at my summer camp decided to smoke marijuana in a room with no ventilation next to a counselor training to be a police officer.

There's this one dumbass kid who goes to my school. He went to a party, got drunk, and went outside to the police car that had been called by a neighbor. I don't remember exactly what happened, but it was one of three things.

1. He relieved himself on the car.
2. He relieved himself on the cop. Or,
3. He relieved himself on both the cop AND the car.

Choked the next day when I heard about it.

I know lots of people who have been arrested and almost all of it was bogus. I would say it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 or so, and maybe two of them actually deserved it.

Never been actually arrested myself although I've been to court a few times for minor car-related offences like forgetting to pay my registration.

A family member was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct. The cops threw him in the cell to 'dry out' and let him go the next morning. The singer in my band has also been arrested for this, several times.

A guy I know was ripped off at a car dealership so he returned there at night and burned the place to the ground. The cops arrested some random Aboriginal kids for the crime (as they do), so he turned himself in because he felt bad that innocents were going to be punished instead of him. The kids were released, he got six years jail. He could have got a lot more (they really throw the book at you for arson where I live) but the fact he confessed to save innocents and showed remorse was taken into account.

A guy I was in a band with years ago did 12 months in jail for marijuana possession. I guess they caught him with a fair bit of the stuff for him to get a sentence that severe (marijuana laws for simple possession are fairly token where I live - they only start getting severe if you're carrying enough of the stuff to possibly be a dealer rather than just a smoker). He never talked about it much though so I don't know the full details.

Someone I used to work with a long time ago got four years prison for social security fraud.

Another guy I used to be in a band with had outstanding warrants for his arrest (not sure for what, probably marijuana related charges given how much he smokes the damn stuff), last I heard. But that was several years ago. He's avoided trouble by moving states whenever he collects more warrants but pretty soon he's going to "collect 'em all" like Pokemon and then he'll have nowhere to run... I'm pretty sure he's been caught up on by now...

I was arrested, by arrested I mean my friends dad (an ex-marine)who was working on becoming a cop, it was a little while ago so I don't recall how far along it was but whatever. I was inside playing a game with my friend when his father walked in and said he needed help in his back yard so my friend and I get up and head out the back door, suddenly he pins me to the concrete deck and cuffs me and shows me cooperative and uncooperative cuffing methods, on me of course while my face is pinned against the ground.

Ahh memories, Kev if you're reading this I hate you (jk man).
