I was arrested on the basis that I had, in the cops words, "a shitload 'a' guns". I spent a night in jail before another cop helped me out and cleared up the mistake the other had made.
I was arrested for battery out in wyoming about 5 years ago but was released because the cop was sexist and she had attacked me and I just defended myself.
Arrested for suspicious behavior. I was walking home at 3 am and the cops just arrested me. I was mad and was in jail for a couple of days.
I almost got arrested for child rape but that was cleared up when the cops found out that my meth addicted cousin had lied to the cops in anger.
They later arrested him and found a lot of meth and stolen money on him. He won't be seeing daylight for awhile now.

My uncle was once arrested in the early 90s for being drunk with some friends on an Italian beach at night.
They put him in jail for anight and did the whole insult, punch-in-face, head-in-water thing until he told them he knew a very important local political figure (i.e. my grandfather), and they let him right out.
It made for a fun anecdote at the dinner table.

It was a mates 18th and we were all drunk, then three of my friends decided to run off from the party in search of 'King Solomons Gold' and two of them managed to get arrested and thrown in jail for the night. One of them came back in the morning and the first thing he said?
'I had to drink toilet water!'
Yup, the cops wouldn't give him anything to drink so he got a little desperate. Needless to say, he's never lived that experience down.
