I've never been arrested but I've come close a few times, however I do know someone who was arrested for rape.

It's really creepy because the kid didn't seem like a sicko, he was a little odd but not crazy, shows what I know in terms of criminology.

One of my friends was arrested for having an ounce of weed in his bag, another one of my friends was arrested for throwing eggs at a police car and I have been arrested for resisting arrest when I ran away after getting caught using a fake id.

And what is that meant to mean :O

But I agree with the fighting thing, I think when too many people are there to witness it, it becomes a lot more distasteful.
That I could pick you up and break you.
Probably one-handed.
I'm used to it, though. Most everyone I know is tiny.

It does. It's also a lot harder to cover up.
Over the past 2 weeks, I've put on over half a stone. You couldn't be picking me up, seriously. I haven't been in a fight for ages, though not through lack of trying...
I had to look up what that meant.
Damn English people...
I've never actively looked for a fight. Besides, I don't like fair fights. And most people these days equate "fighting" with "rolling around on the ground pulling eachothers' hair," as if they were both six.
Haha ;D And around by where I live, if you haven't had a fight in a while people think you easy and will go for you. Lovely by mine ;D

Oh, how utterly disturbing.

Clearly, you live in a magical ponyland, where everyone gets along and loves one another.
Yerr :D The estate I live on is sound, but if you literally go 5 minutes down the road, everyone's out to get you. Proper little wars going on. Fun times ;D

I never got arrested but back when I was a street punk I got pepper sprayed a few times. My crime: standing somewhere for too long.

Not me, but in my senior year in high school, I had a friend who lived with his dad and step mom (who i knew were druggies but didn't do too much about it, don't ask.) Anyway, I came back from a recent cruise vacation (that my parents got me as a graduation gift) and went over to his house to hang out, when I noticed cop cars pulled up around the building.

Being wary I still walked up to the front door, which was open, and a cop looked at me. He came out and asked if I knew the family. Being honest as I could I said yes I knew them, but had no idea what was going on. The cop then asked if he could quickly search me, and I agreed. After he determined I was clean of anything, I asked what was going on. He then said they were busting the house for a meth lab. A METH LAB!!! With my friend and his 6 year old step brother in the vicinity the whole time!

Anyway, he then told me to just stand next to my car and wait. After about another half hour, he brought my friend out in handcuffs, took the cuffs off, looked at me and said "Just get your friend out of here. I don't care where you take him."

He ended up staying the night at my house that night, then the next day I took him to where his mom and step-dad lived and he lived with them for a while...though the day after I took him there I was going up again with a couple other friends to visit and got in a car accident...which was not my fault...lucky me.

I was arrested for resisting arrest. No fooling - that was my only charge. I asked multiple times but no one - the cop, the judge, the lawyers would tell me what I was doing that caused me to be arrested in the first place- if I don't know I'm under arrest and didn't do anything to justify arrest - how can I be resisting arrest?
I believe that is a legal loophool, while you still broke a crime. (Resisting arrest) the police must have probable cause to arrest you..

I have done many things that might warrant legal repercussions, but its only a crime if you get caught 'amirite? :p

Oi, here goes....

In the mid 90s I got arrested and convicted of grand larceny and got 30 days(booya for being a juvenile offender) for it. Around 6 months later I got arrested again for shoplifting and the judge let me go due to it being a first offense, he wasn't aware of my prior felony conviction since I live on the border of 3 states and the grand larceny was across the river in Ohio.

About a year later I got arrested on a felony computer hacking charge, but being that I was far more intelligent than those trying to imprison me, I was able to talk myself right out of it. Instead of doing 7 to 15 in prison for a felony I was convicted of simple vandalism(a misdemeanor) and sentenced to unsupervised probation for a few years.

Now, we fast forward around a dozen years to last October. I was once again arrested for computer hacking, and once again I managed to talk myself out of a felony conviction. This time, however, I did end up doing some jail time. I spent 16 days in the county lockup, and I gotta say...it sucked. I think I may have learned my lesson, it was all fun and games until I finally had some consequences for my actions applied.

So, I suppose now I can add reformed hacker to my list of accomplishments right alongside former smoker, former shoplifter, and best lay in the tri-state area. Nooch!

I was arrested for battery.
Or assault.
One of the two.
What's the difference? (Honest question).
I honestly don't know. I think battery is worse, which is utterly ridiculous, because assault sounds a lot more violent.
Battery is the act of committing violence against a person (Punching someone in the face)
Assault is the threat of violence against a person (Screaming I'm going to kill you while swinging a baseball bat at someone)

Who knew being a criminal Justice Major would ever pay off?

On Topic: My friend was arrested in a Pizza Hut Parking Lot. Both doors of his truck were wide open, the radio was on full blast, the engine was running, and he was passed out in the passenger seat.

Gonna have to call you on that one. Assault is physical violence upon another person, or as defined by the statute "an attempt to cause or purposely, knowingly, or recklessly causing bodily injury to another; or, negligently causing bodily injury to another with a deadly weapon.". Battery is a more vicious form of assault, and in modern times is most often applied to incredibly unfair fights, such as an adult harming a child or a man striking a woman. While both crimes are similar, battery tends to carry a harsher punishment that almost always results in some jail time. In most cases of assault the offender pays a fine and is sentenced to no additional time beyond what was served from apprehension until bailing/bonding out of jail or going to prelims and being RoR'd out.

I know you're a criminal justice major and all, but maybe you should pay more attention in your classes.

Assault: A crime that occurs when one person tries to physically harm another in a way that makes the person under attack feel immediately threatened. Actual physical contact is not necessary; threatening gestures that would alarm any reasonable person can constitute an assault

Battery: Actual, intentional and unlawful touching or striking of another person against the will of the other or unlawfully and intentionally causing bodily harm to an individual.

I do pay attention in my classes, these definitions are straight out of my textbook.
