I haven't, but I had to help bail a friend out a couple years ago. He was picked up for driving with a suspended license =/

So let's hear your jailhouse tales!

A person who lives down the street from me was a convicted armed robber. He's weird, he collects so much trash that the fire department had to tell him to clean up his house because of fire hazards

A friend of mine got arrested for throwing a 62 oz Big Gulp full of ketchup at a cop car.

And one time my teacher told our class about when he and some friends got arrested for trying steal a missile that was deactivated and used as a memorial from the Vietnam war.

I have never been arrested but I've come close a few times because I'm a night owl so I'm up all night long and I'll go take walks at like 3-4 am and if the police see me when they're driving by they think I'm up to something.

Repeatedly. About... three times.

Once for possession of a controlled substance (whoever correctly guesses the substance wins kudos!), and two other times for possession of a concealed weapon.

None of these committed with malice or devious intent, mind you. Was all a matter of not checking my pockets before I wandered off to school.

I've got two stories:

1. My friends and I used to hang out by this local convenience store after school, and there was a guy who lived next door who "wasn't quite all there". One day, he began throwing beer bottles and rocks at anyone who tried to enter the store. He smashed windows and cursed as loud as he could. Eventually the cops arrested him and we all had a good laugh at him.

2. At the end of my street a guy who was kinda strange used to live there. He acted really weird and watched people through his window as they walked down the street. One day, the cops showed up and took him away in cuffs. 15 minutes later the SPCA showed up and took his dog. Apparently he was a convicted murderer.

Well, I work in a jail so...

If you mean personally. All the time; when I first became a cop on a lazy day I searched pretty much everyone I went to high school with (yes it's legal, it's a public record) and was shocked that more than 3/4 of them had been picked up for shoplifting at least once between the ages of 13-18.

Yeah my brother got arrested last year for 'public nuisance'.

He was found wandering the streets in his jocks dazed and confused after having the shit kicked out of him by some of his so-called friends at a party. Apparently having a concussion and a broken face trying to get home constitutes an offense.

Once for stealing and once for possession of alcohol at park. Second one was cleared up as it wasn't mine and was my brother's.

I know someone that was arrested twice in the same night...
How the hell did they manage to do that?
They got arrested for MIP or suchlike at a party on the river, then got bailed out, and then proceeded back to the SAME party and got arrested for driving drunk. and this kid was like 16, and I do not know if they had a driver's license at the time...

I was arrested for battery.
Or assault.
One of the two.
What's the difference? (Honest question).
I honestly don't know. I think battery is worse, which is utterly ridiculous, because assault sounds a lot more violent.
Indeed, there's a reason it's assault rifle, not a battery rifle. Although the latter does sound rather cool.

I think it's assualt for, simple brawling, punching, attacking someone.
And battery is like beating the shite out of someone, and then beating them some more.

Assault is when you threaten to hurt someone. Battery is when you actually hurt them. So yes Battery is worse.

Never been arrested but i got ticketed once. For jaywalking. With my mum.

...

How lame is that!?
