I'd quite like to see a HD remake for Dynasty Warriors 3-5. 4 and 5 were recently added to the PS Store, but they're PS2 Classics. If a HD version came out, i'd buy them in an instant.

It's arguably the best JRPG ever made.

Give it FF XIII quality graphics, a great voice cast, and everybody will praise it like they should.
I... erm... I dunno. Mixed feelings.

If FF6 isn't my favorite game of all time, it's at least in the top three. I still replay it every couple of years, and every time I love it more. (I'm not above admitting I still tear up a bit at a few parts.) But... I dunno that it needs to be remade. I feel like it still holds up really well. But that may just be nostalgia talking, what with the SNES being the first console I owned and FF4 & 6 being the first RPGs I played. I'd also be really worried about the voices sucking.

Who am I kidding, I've been a PC gamer for years, but I'd buy any console they remade FF6 for in a heartbeat. (I'd be pissed if they did it on a handheld, though.) And if they used Amano's character designs (particularly for Terra and Celes) and had an option for Japanese with subs, I would prolly die from joy.

Edit: And I actually kinda like the Woosley localization. Never played the PS1/GBA versions, but played a few fan translations that were... really dry. Like Kefka went from gleeful insanity to just generic, boilerplate Evil Villain Speech.

OT: I actually came to say FF7. While I think 6 is the better game, 6 came out at the end of the 16-bit era, and thus has really pretty, well-done 2D art by virtue of the fact that they'd been refining their techniques for almost a decade. 7 came out at the beginning of the 32-bit era, and thus the 3D art is ugly as hell.

I'd love to see the first Deus Ex remade. Till then I'll make do with the HD-Texture Packs available.

I'd like a Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines remake, keeping the original voice cast (otherwise I'd hunt the developers down). That or a new World of Darkness game made in the same vein as Bloodlines. An update of Deus Ex wouldn't hurt either.

Tie Fighter. Playing this game even for a little bit should be a goddamn requirement for future generations so they can appreciate just how awesome it is.

Get it to work on modern computers without having to jump through hoops with DOSBox, give the visuals a modern-day facelift and update the soundtrack with a fully orchestrated version, all while retaining the same gameplay mechanics. It would be a dream come true.

There is a windows version of every early Star Wars flight simulator, unfortunately it's not available at any digital download store and there's only a few used copies over Amazon. It can be torrented if you have no other choice though. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-X-Wing-Collector-Series-Pc/dp/B00002SV6D/ref=cm_cmu_pg_t

It is pretty ugly by modern day standards of course even X-wing Alliance is heavily outdated, I'd pay a hefty price for a remake or a new game in the series but Lucasarts ignored it and many others for years now.

Deus Ex, yes god yes please and this time with the retcons that showed up in HR, no paper newspapers and choppers anymore please.

Hd re-release would be Final Fantasy X. SE say they are working on it so it should be out December 2052.
HD Remake would be Final Fantasy IX. New visuals, give the cast voices but DO NOT change the story or gameplay. There is no amount of money I would not pay for that.
Voice acting in FF IX?? No, no, no! That game actually had a pretty funny script, and there is NO WAY SquareEnix will be able to hire decent enough actors to ever pull that off.

But yeah FFVII to FFIX as HD remakes would definitely get my money. The biggest improvement would be in character models, especially FFVII. I would keep the prerendered backgrounds, maybe polish them somewhat of course. But overall it is important to keep most of it intact and not destroy the overall tone and feel of the games. They should look at Capcom's Resident Evil remake on the Gamecube for a reference on how to do a proper HD remake.

Speaking of which, I'd love to see Resi 2 and 3 remade in the same way as the first one. I'd also shell out quite a few bucks to get a proper Silent Hill HD collection. I'd kill to get my hands on a HD remake of the first game. That game is such a classic, but the graphics has not aged well at all (which is the case with most PS1 3D games). A HD remake of the original WipEout trilogy would also be AWESOME.

We also need HD versions of FFX and FFXII.

But the most important ones of all... HD remakes of the Metroid Prime trilogy. I'm wetting my past just thinking about it!
In hindsight you are right about the voices and I agree with everything else. Except for XII being on the list. That was Just Return of the Jedi without lightsabers and I did not care for it.
