Is he older bigger stronger than you?

How old are you both?

Ask him to compensate you some way doing your shores, buying you stuff, giving you something of his as a gift or other stuff.
He's 20, im 18. he can barely remember to close the fridge when he uses it so not much chance of him doing my chores, he has no job so i don't see how he could buy anything and the only stuff of his i would want would be the stuff he "borrowed" from me

On a night out my brother hit me, his excuse was he thought i was taking a swing at him, funny how i never actually managed to hit him. The next day i woke up and my face was extremely swollen and my mother forced me to go too hospital and i found out my jaw was broken. At this point i was reayd to kill him. 3 hours after being told this i was lying on a operating table to get it fix. I was in hospital for 3 days and clamed down a bit, i was really mad at him anymore but i hadn't (and still haven't) forgiven him. The problem is nothing has been done about, yes he said sorry but other than that everyones just going about like normal which i don't really find fair. I did avoid the subject, and asked my mother to leave it for a few days after simply because it was his birthday. But now its been almost 2 weeks an still nothing has been said too him. The results of the broken jaw are:
Painful operation (which involved having a camera shoved up my nose while i was still awake)
Metal plate in face
Really bad swelling and yellow bruising on face for a week
Not able to eat solid food for 6 weeks (well only 4 week 1 day now)
The doctors say my jaw has possibly not been placed properly which means another operation
I missed a fair few days work and some A-level exams because of being in hospital or drugged up

SO any ideas on what i should do?
find the thing he likes eg xbox or laptop and take a big dump inside it, close the lid and turn it on for a while so it works itsway into the spaces etc

then say that you have forgiven him and go back to normal

Break his jaw, and his arm, leg, nose, 6 different fingers and finally his sternum. That's just what I would do.

With one punch, and not being possessed by adrenaline? Give him all your money and be glad he didn't snap your neck.

LOL

Alright, no room for being civilized then. Take a baseball bat and hit him on the back, shouldder or arm when he's distracted. You will probably get in trouble but at least you're suffering won't pass unaware(better word?).

Get some steel toe capped boots and break his knee cap. He will have to have titanium bolts in his knee to hold it together for about 2 years then they might stay in or the doctor will ask to take them out.

If this happened to me and I was in your position, I probably would end up taking a "delayed action" response. What I mean is that I would sit on this, not think about it, and move on with my life for the time being. Beyond that, a steady chance of finding opportunities may present themself to you where you can end up getting him back later in a possibly much worse way. You don't have to smack him back, but you can opt to not support him in situations that he would need it in. AKA, let him get his butt kicked by someone else and not bother backing him up.

But... to be honest? What I just said sounds really spiteful, and only someone with my vendetta mentality would accept the kinds of sick and twisted revenge scenarios that I would wish upon my foes. I hope you aren't that type of person.

Just... ignore this post, please.

Answer this question; what would be the point?

Revenge is a utterly pointless thing. You shouldn't seek to harass can cause pain to another simply because they did the same to you. Do you think it will make you happy? Maybe it would in the short term, but ultimately it just pisses your brother off and only worsens the relationship between you two. Why would you want to do that? While a broken jaw is definitely a major pain in your life, will inflicting similar pain on your brother honestly improve anything?

If your brother is truly sorry for what he did to you then there doesn't need to be any punishment. It would accomplish nothing, and the guilt is probably enough of a burden on him anyways. If he is not sorry, you still should not seek revenge. Just ignore him. Do not hang out with him anymore and avoid all contact when possible. I'm not saying to do this out of spite though. I'm telling you to do this because if your brother honestly doesn't care about doing such a thing to you, then he's not worth being around.
