Five minuts later Chris spotted the Korhal soldiers. They were wearing some very light body armor, and only one of them seemed to be carrying a proper assault weapon.
"This should be easy." He told the squad. "They aren't even properly equipped, these must be some raw recruits! Roman, Tobias, let's rush them from behind, try to keep at least one of them alive." He drove on until he reached the group and began unholstering his assault rifle. The terrorists were startled by the sound of the vultures, they stood there looking at the dust cloud the vehicles had made. When the dust finally settled they saw the 3 large forms of the Confederate Marines in full body armor, and started to panic. One of them, the one with the assault rifle, tried to rally the other men and began shooting towards the Marines, the shots were ineffective on the thick armor they wore. The other 5 panicked and started running.
"They didn't even pack armor piercing rounds." Chris said, laughing. "Roman subdo the 5 runners. I'll take care of this one. Tobias stand by with some painkillers and sedatives. We don't want them dying before we can get what we need out of them."
The Commander leveled his rifle and put an armor piercing round into the Terrorist's left knee. It exploded when the round passed through. The man fell to the ground with a scream of agony. "This one will need it I think." He said back to Tobias. He then walked over to take the weapon from the fallen man.

"Well I don't want to be a bother so I'll leave you to do your work." Draine said, walking away from Dakor.

OOC: Hey 'm just wondering, what can we do with the psychic powers? Can we pick people up or lift objects to throw at them?

Dakor grunted a quick thanks for the solace and began concentrating visualising what parts still needed to go onto the defence system, feeling the now fermiliar flow of psi power the sparts around him began to move fitting themselfs into place and compleating his last sentry.
"there all done" he said to no one in perticular "now I just have to deploy it." unfortunatly a fully built sentry was to heavy to lift mentaly so he picked it up and carryed it out manualy.

Name: Ken (Base) Tunnen
Designation: 6660- 058
Specialization: Commando
Psi Index: 2 (rather not have the Protoss rip my mind apart)
Mods: Extended Clip
Bio : "Oh you gotta love the Zerg!" Base says as he empties another round into the face of the alien "Kill 1000 and there?s 1000 more to take there place"

Ken Tunnen is a man of simple pleasures, as far back as he can remember he wanted to join the core, and the main reason for this was the simple but yet often overlooked desire to shoot guns. at the age of 18 he stoped playing commando and became one. Flying though the medical and base training he already knew where hes talents lied, and that of corse was shooting "Why shoot 1 bullet when you can shoot 100?" he would often argue with Ross Field and Marcus Anderson.

He has been in the Hell Hound core for many years now and has seen alot of good men die in the field of battle quickly replaced with a bunch of bright upstarts. He sometimes takes pleasure in telling the newbie?s of how they came to join the team at the loss of another?s life in grafic detail just to take them down a peg or two. That?s not to say he?s spiteful towards newcomers but he knows the some times fear is the best medicine.

He is all to happy to dive into combat without knowing if he will survive or not, He knows he will some day die but he?s been lucky so far and better to die a hero then live to be a coward

Marcus lay crouching on top of a construction platform that towered a couple of feet off from the ground. He peered through his rifle scope at the fields of Antiga Prime scanning the horizon for any movement but there was none to be seen. "That's the south quadrant clear" he said to himself as he made a final sweep across the horizon. "Perhaps there is some action on the Northern front" he thought to himself as he jumped down from the tower, landing gracefully in front of a startled Dakor.
"Apologies my friend I-" Marcus was cut off as he heard a single shot ring off in the distance. A smile quickly passed over his face. "Bloodhound standard issue assault rifle, sounds like our boys are having fun hunting". He paused to shake his head "Anyway, where was I?..oh right, yes, sorry for landing in front of you and all that but I have to go now and cover the northern gate. How long will you be till the sentry's are up and running?"

Marcus finds his way to the northen gates finding Base standing guard, they both look out towards the open terrain "Nothing out there but sand as far as I can tell" he says peer out at the utter nothingness. pausing for a moment "Sounded like the commander is having a fun time, while we sit here baby sitting the civilians. I guess ours is not to ask, just to do...Any way, hope you have better luck then me" He says patting Marcus on the shoulder and walking back into the town with his gun casualy carried in one hand.

Base walks over back to Dakor "Hey mate how goes the turrets? The sooner there up the sooner we can get the hell out of this dust bowl"

My Vulture raced along the open ground faster than the wounded Korhal could ever run. They didn't even have weapons. I swing my assault rifle round to face them, they turn around and start jabbering in some stupid language. One slowly starts to walk my way with his up, as soon as his hand goes to a pocket I give him three rounds in the chest. He splutters for a bit then dies. The others begin to run away and I empty the clip into their fleeing forms. Not one bullet misses and for a while I enjoy watching their writhing bodies.

I start the Vulture's engine and make my way back to Chris and Tobias. I guess the Korhal should never have killed my squad and cut out my eye, I might have let the ones running away flee.

"Dammit," Chris said to Roman, "now we really need this one to live."
He turned to the man, lying on the ground grunting and panting through the pain.
"Get those painkillers now Tobias!"

"Chris, Chris, give up. This one was finished when you blasted his knee away. He must have lost over half of his blood, let me put this Korhal bastard out of his misery. There will be more on this planet."

There always is.

Chris grabbed the terrorist and punched him in the face with his huge gauntlet. The skull caved in. "We probably wouldn't have gotten that much out of this guy anyway." He said with a sigh. "He was too green to actually know anything."
Chris then turned to Roman, "But that doesn't mean you're off the hook!" He yelled at the soldier. "Next time you disobey orders I'll have you reasigned to the fringes! I'm sure the zerg would love to have a big piece of human like you!"
He then returned his own rifle to a holster on his back and began walking back toward the Vultures. He then heard a sound overhead. He looked up and saw at least a thousand airborn monsters heading straight for the settlement and the rest of his squad.
"Looks like I don't even have to send you to the fringes Roman" He said. "Let's get back to the settlment on the double!"
He got onto his Vulture and began racing back towards the rest of the Hellhounds.
"Squad this is the Commander!" He yelled over the squad comms. "There's a large force of Zerg inbound on your current position!"
No response. "Squad!" he yelled again.
shit, the zerg must be screwing with the transmissions somehow, he thought.
He then felt inwardly. Hellhounds, anyone who can pick this up, we have a large force of Zerg inbound on your position, defend yourselves until we arrive. Comms are down we can't radio for transport yet either. He sent his thoughts to anyone who could read them.

ooc : thank you for joining to Tegual.

I had nothing against the Zerg, apart from their conquering tendencies.
"C'mon Chris, the other's need us." I Climbed onto my Vulture just as the engine started to belch black smoke. "Notnownotnownotnow! Chris, do you think your Vulture could take both us?"

I hop on just as a Zerg Mothership warps into the sky.
"Chris, we're in big trouble, we've got to make it back to the others quickly, you should radio in an evac for us and the civilians." I hope everyone's okay.

"Evac isn't going to come, Roman." Chris said. "We lost all communications, and our cruiser is probably gone or destroyed now that we got a force this big. Only option now is to equip the civilians and fight off the Zerg."

"SENTRYS ARE ONLINE" Dakor yelled the com system was his next problem and he began running back to the workshop he had set up got about halfway before hearing the whine of automatic fire and knew the Zerg had come within range of the turrets. as blood and perforated bits of zerg rained from the sky Dakor ducked into the tent and after adding a few wires and hooking another battery to the Radio he managed to boost the signal and restore communications to the group "radio's back up" he said over the com.

Marcus shrugged, "The commander has his reasons, I mean there is no point taking the whole squad out to hunt down 6 Korhal soilders. That's overkill...even by our standards!". He smiled at Base "You go on up and check the perimeter, I'll taker over watch from this gate". Base patted him on the back and walked off towards the town. "Don't forget to check on those sentry's will you, we don't want to be sitting ducks out here without some serious firepower" Marcus called after him.

Sitting ducks..heh. That's rich, he thought to himself as he closed his eyes and channeled his psionic power to sweep the area in front of him. Suddenly he felt it before he heard it. A huge conduit of power surged in the atmosphere giving off psionic waves..something was approaching and approaching fast. It was something Marcus hadn't felt in awhile. Zerg! "It can't be" he started to say, when suddenly he heard the voice of the commander booming inside his head confirming the Zerg attack!.

"Guys we got problems" he heard Korbus yell. "People!, we have a Zerg attack underway!" Marcus yelled out. "All non military personnel move to the civilian bunkers and stay put till we give the clear to come out.." He glanced back at his comrades who were scrambling to take positions, "Hellhounds!!, we have no less than thousand Mutalisks coming our way from the Northern front. Take your positions!". With that Marcus moved to the highest point of the settlement, the Vespene gas processing tower. He ran passed Base who was running towards the northern gate, "Base, have the commandos hold the forward defenses. I'll try and get on the processing tower and provide sniper cover from up top. Good hunting, solider". With a nod, Marcus bolted to the huge tower and began climbing it. He could just see the shapes of the Mutalisks forming on the horizon, his arms worked double time lifting his weight up to the refining platform. "How are those turrets coming along" He yelled down below as he slid his Ghost sniper rifle off his shoulder. He got his response when the turrets burst into life. He knew at this height and with some psionic help he could get a few rounds off before the Zerg came in range for the commandos down below.

The face of a Mutalisk loomed into view in his scope, the crosshairs aligned between the eyes of the great beasts. "Goood night" he muttered under his breath as he squeezed the trigger. The loud shot rang through the air as the armor piercing bullet left the FN92 chamber and struck it's target with a satisfying "thud". The large Mutalisk screeched in pain and veered off course striking another Mutalisk, ripping it's wings off and they both plummeted towards the ground. He aimed again at the fast approaching swarm and another shot rang off, then another and another, followed by another. Ten shots rang off from the rifle, 15 Mutalisk bodies dropped from the sky to the ground. Marcus was about to reload another clip when he heard a whirling sound from above. He looked up..a Mutalisk had managed to close the gap and was now in striking range. Gun fire was heard from below ripping the body of the beast in half but not before it released a glave wurm towards the gas tower.

In a split second Marcus dove off the tower just before the glave struck. The last thing he remembered was the explosion of the tower and hitting the ground hard before he was buried in a heap of rubble. Shaken and stunned, Marcus tried to free himself from the rubble that was encasing him. He was going to need help in getting out!.
