Chris finally arrived at the squad's location. He saw the processing tower fall and he thought he noticed a Marine fall from atop it. "Shit." he muttered under his breath.
He got off the vulture and noticed comms were back up. "This is Hellhounds to the Cerberus! Come in Cerberus. We need immediate evac of all military and civilian personel from the planet now! The Zerg are attacking. I repeat the Zerg are attacking!"
He began hearing a crackle over the comms. "Commander no can do, this is the Battlecruiser Cerberus we've been ordered to pull out. I'm sorry this order came from top brass. You guys are on your own."
"God. Damn. IT!" Chris yelled. "Never trust the goddamn Confederacy to care about their soldiers!"
He surveyed the area. The squad had done a good job of securing a perimeter, but he didn't know how long even this would last them.
"Squad we need all the firepower we can get." He began relaying orders. "All commandos keep up the fire and try to set up explosives on any choke point. Engineers, theres a Machine shop, try to fix anything that can be used for combat. Snipers, I want you to get elevated and scout for incoming enemy attack waves and shoot down anything that looks like it's coordinating these bastards. Medics, you guys rally the civilians and give them some weapons, we're going to need even their help! I want you guys to keep us alive too! GO GO GO!"
He picked up his assault rifle and ran to join the Commandos on the front lines.
