I'm fairly new here, and hope to go for eternity without provoking the mods.

Times have changed and many people whom you may have known have left or post very little. This happens with forums, I'd be suprised if you expected to return with out much change. Since you left the Escapist has gotten a lot of new content. You should check those out.

As others have said, some long time members have been banned (a lot of these were in the last two weeks actually) and it is a pity to see them go, especially in the manner in which they did so. We have some great new members join since when you left though. I don't want to hand out any names, you should be able to find them easier enough.

Welcome back and enjoy your stay.

Basically, by being fucking stupid. Necroswanson made a thread ranting about the community, Mobius equated christianity with retardation (doesn't sound too bad, but it was apparently the straw that broke the camel's back), and Empyrean made a thread in response to Mobius' ban ranting about the community, ending with a few personalized "Fuck Yous" (although, last I checked, she was only suspended).

In addition, Amnestic just stopped coming, no idea what happened to him. Guess he moved on.

Eh...the guy was just saying "'sup, how's it hangin'?," not exactly a candidate for deflation. I found it normal.

P.D: I always find it helpful whenever I'm informed of an new procedure in ego handling.

I was once a immature boy that lurked gaming forums always shouting "OMG ps3 is da rulz" but then found myself so entrenched in the confederacy of dunces that makes up the better part of the Internet. Feeling like the problem of society I left to do volunteer work in manly Uruguay. Now I am back trying to get into the swing of things. Now you know who I am, but frankly who are you.

The real thing that has changed from what I gather is that people have forgotten about the "old gang". I would say that that was because there has been an increase in account making from march onwards. I really don't have the right to say anything about the "old gang" as I wasn't there, having only made my account in December.

Of course, Empyrean went a little above and beyond just ranting about the community, from what I heard. Didn't actually see the offending post myself, but from what I heard from Lord Krunk, she was yelling at the mods for not perma-banning me and Cheeze_Pavilion. And it may just me wanting to be popular somewhere, but I'd like to think I'm a recognizable name on here.
