Hmmm... I have been thinking about it. Those of you who are planning to start or have started a 10 day free trial can't send tells or mail so contacting me in game might be difficult for you. So here's my offer. If you are rolling a toon on Argonesson then send me a mail HERE on this site and tell me the name once it's rolled. We can plan to meet up on the game from here and I can invite you to a party so we can talk. (even if that means I have to roll a toon and run it through the tutorial to do it) That way you can get immediate help and get rolling. Or you we can meet up once you are off korthos. Or, and this is the best suggestion. Run the tutorial with a throw away character, meaning build it, run just the tutorial and then go create your real toon and skip the tutorial. By skipping the tutorial any of my toons can get to you in korthos or invite you to a party and chat.

ok, I'll stop taking over this forum now lol

This is good advice. Also, if you start a trial, post a hello on the forums. Many people will show up to help you.

Watch out, this thread might attract alot of angry people from the Valve vs Turbine thread.

I'm yet to try DDO, but this computer probably can't handle it.
Obviously I don't what your computer is but I play DDO with a dell from wal-mart I bought last year with my 600 dollar stimulus check.

Just wanted to state if anyone is interestd in joining the EU servers feel free to give me a shout. I will be happy to give any advice needed and can organise an introduction to a few of my guild members in Schrodingers cat sanctuary on the Devourer server. We (along with a guild called the new blood) kind of specialise in helping new players learn the ropes and will be happy to help anyone who would like to try this game but isnt sure where to start.

Hey Rhob, no stealing peeps to the "test" server =P
Anyway, Europe here too, but on Keeper. If anyone wants to join, come along.
On another note, I would like to point out that DDO has a mature (average player age is 30) and tight knit community. While quite easy to get into the community, it's also very easy to get bad mouthed and blacklisted by people so watch how you act in there.
At any rate, come up and try it. It's not a game that you play 10 minutes and get the feel of it right away, I'm afraid (because you don't have "fetch 20 bear pelts" kind of quests). You need to invest time in it and work your way up but don't let that stop you.
