Be a man and just kick it. Restrain yourself from consuming caffeine for a week or so until you're detoxified. Then it will be easier.
That is a horrible idea. The headaches I got from a day without the stuff when I was addicted were crippling.
Well I guess I got addicted to coffein through cola...I drink that stuff instead of coffee, because I don´t like coffee.
Then there where 2 days without it, because noone bought it and I didn´t wanna go shopping.
I got headaches too, but I usually just take a bunch of painkillers against that<.<

It has no other addictive properties than deliciousness, so any addiction is just your lack of self control.
That's ignorant. Read this: James, JE; Stirling, KP (1983). "Caffeine: A summary of some of the known and suspected deleterious effects of habitual use". British Journal of Addiction 78 (3)

Try to provide a link next time.

I personally believe a far better and more concise summary is found on Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine

While caffeine does have numerous side effects regarding overdose and prolonged use, it has no chemically addictive properties. Withdrawal effects are caused by the sudden lack of adenosine, and adrenaline in the body. All they include are headaches and drowsiness. But more importantly, the withdrawal effects are only precipitated caused by a complete chemical absence of caffeine in the first place. Hell, with the amount of caffeine consumption involved it's likely he developed a tolerance to caffeine anyway, and the energy high is just placebo effect. So, in other words, my advice remains wholly viable: just exercise some self control and drink less. Now please stop forcing me to back up my bravado with actual scientific evidence.
