(i've searched, couldn't find anything that resembled this topic)

Imagine this;

Humankind has nearly perfected the Holo-deck, a device that can be used to experience fantasies of your wildest dreams.

The Holo-deck has been tested before, but before the newer version is released they choose YOU to test it out one more time before it becomes commercially available. You step inside and plug in your favorite game, whether it be Guitar Hero, CoD4, Halo, Bioshock, Silent Hill, or whatever.

It starts up, and you are in your game. Everything is running smoothly, you're shooting the enemies in CoD4 with little effort and you're dominating. But, suddenly, everything starts to go crazy. All of the bullets you've been hit by, all of the crashes you've crashed in the racing game, all of blocks you've hit with your head suddenly become real to you! You are stuck in your favorite game!

The professor tries to desynchronize you from the game, but with no avail. The only way to get out is to either beat the game, get a game over, or just wait for the professor to help you. However, you don't know if beating the game will result in desynchronization or just restart the game or even destroy you! Will getting a game over result in desynchronization or just death? How will you survive by the time the professor saves you? Will you even be able to save your data when you found that awesome set of armor in Oblivion? Were you playing online while you were doing this, and if so, what would happen if someone would kill you and what would happen when those 10 minutes of round time is over?

But most importantly; would you want to leave?

What game did you synchronize? What will you do to survive? How did you escape? Tell us your adventure through the time you were in your favorite game!

I'd be a mute! Noooo! I've been playing half life 2 ALOT. Or maybe he just chooses not to talk. I would test that out. I don't think beating the game would get me out, I'd just have to stay in stasis for a year until the next episode is released.

I'd be in Assasin's Creed. Wouldn't be too bad. I guess I'd just lounge around for a bit. I don't have the reflexes/physique to run and jump on all those obstacles, so I'd probably just stab a couple of guards. Wait a minute...the game is a recollection of memories! Gaaah! I'd be stuck in a bartender's body!

This sounds...boring and interesting in equal measure. I mean...once you've got all the sex out of the wa...oh right....-game- stuck in...yes...well:

Problem is, I'd either be stuck in WoW, AoC or TF2. First two are un-winnable, which is a problem, though, World of Warcraft might be the better option, it's safer.
I'd probably get a job or something...and try to live out the rest of my days without getting ganked. Or until they pull the plug.

Team Fortress is a little trickier...if I was stuck there, I'd have to make sure my team won,
or at least try to stay alive long enough and not get gibbed. I'd probably end up as a Spy and go hide in a corner somewhere...

I'd be stuck in Conker's bad fur day. Or TF2. Which could be interesting.

Eeither way,
Be polite, be efficient, have a plan to kill every person you meet....

Root slammed the door of the Infernus and stepped into the Vice City Haze. The stereo's rendition of Kate Bush disappeared just before that annoying DJ came on, so at least one thing was going right.

He walked over to the door of his mansion, sweat stains mingling with the damp ocean air.
"Mr. Vercetti. Good to have you back."

Nodding a hello, he walked past the front door, stopping only to pick up the fresh envelope of money lying by the mat.

Inside his boudoir, he saw the trophies of Vice City's finest. Men who had tried to stop him. Men who had failed. He pulled out his brick and pressed a few numbers.

"Tommy, Tommy, I'm so glad you're there. Listen..."
"No, you listen to me Ken, we've got trouble coming from down South. Big Trouble."
"Trouble? You know I'm no good with trouble, Tommy. It brings me out in hives."
"Then keep your bees elsewhere you asshole. Pull in all the favours I have round here. I want this place sealed tighter than Cortez's yacht."
*click*

Root smiled. He knew the Forelli's were coming. Just one last job before they arrived.

"Get me Lance Vance."

Fortunately, unlike you jerkoffs I had guessed that some crap like that would happen with the Holo-Deck and played it safe with Viva Pinata.

While beating Dastardos senseless to stall time for the doctor, Copter suddenly noticed that the shovel was chafing his hands something fierce. He kept on beating Dastardos.

I'd be stuck as Link for ever, unable to talk, and consuming nothing but potions and chu jelly for the rest of my existence...

Well, I'd be playing Halo 3, and I'd be stuck in a ridiculously big suit of power armor wondering how to get out. At least a head shot would simply blow the helmet off and I'd be fine, since my head would be somewhere in the chest plate. Unless I became the Chief. That would be AWESOME.

I guess I would be stuck in Tamriel, since I'm playing Oblivion right now. Could be worse. At least there is real food and ingredients respawn, so I could probably stay alive if I stay inside the Imperial City. I guess I would spend my days checking random boxes all over town for things to sell and eventually buy that little shack down on the Waterfront. I would swim around the harbor until my Athletics skill was maxed out and things like that. It would be a quiet, good life.

I look past my big round belly at the sun-stroked sand underneath my army boots. A chest lies half-buried in the sand ? hey, I reckon I can use it to climb that cliff over there! But... but... I'm having trouble lifting it. Now, if only I wasn't wearing these ridiculous boxing gloves...

Spare a thought for me, poor Dizzy, stuck on this Treasure Island. One mistake and I'm scrambled!

Eek! I'm an 'at' symbol! Running down hallways of periods and being attack by gigantic colored letters! Luckily, I'm wearing a '[' and have a '(' to defend myself with!

I've been playing Crawl recently.

I might also be in STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. That would be some scary shit.

Well, playing MGS4 atm, and that wouldn't be so bad if Snake didn't have so many ****ing problems.

Alright well, the problem is, this is very unpredictable, you don't know if you want a "short game" or an "MMO" - because you don't know if beating or losing will get you out...

I guess no matter what game, you'd eventually have to just keep playing or sit and wait.

Fix all the problems Dead Rising had, and I'd play in there. If everything I touch explodes, and I can't even crouch, and the AI is horrible, and there's constant bugs, and me or some AI is always getting stuck - then I wouldn't play dead rising.

I'd probably play an RTS - that shall be an interesting little loop hole, hehehe. I don't have to worry about "getting killed" or anything, but I can still just sit at my "command room" giving out orders. I'd play company of heroes or WiC (despite that I don't like WiC, being to control it so effectively would be pretty nice, though, I'd play CoH first.)

I would be stuck in GTA:SA, and have a hell of a good time.

Loc: I'm OG LOC BABY! I'm GANGSTA. KEEN WITH THE HYGENE ON A MISSION LIKE A SUPER TECHNICIAN BABY!

Fusion: Stop bitching or I'll cap your ass.

Loc: I'm capping, I'm slapping, I'm the master of rapping.

Fusion pulls out a chainsaw and gets the engine running...
