Help Me Choose an MMO

OK, so I'm trying to decide on a new PvP-oriented MMO to play.

So far, I've tried Warhammer, WoW, Aion, LotRO, STO and Guild Wars so this is my various beef with the games:

Warhammer - Combat was too slow and unintuitive. (I would try this again if you really recommend it)

WoW - Not enough focus on PvP, massive gear differences made you roll some people and others roll you.

Aion - Too grindy, too laggy, and too immature (among MANY other things).

LotRO - Monster Play is annoying because you have to gank to get any kills at lower ranks. I never leveled high enough to PvP normally on my main.

STO - Combat's too repetitive is the main thing, I might go back when they've fixed the more glaring issues (it's still beta).

Guild Wars - Can't spend enough time to get into good GvG or HA teams and the meta has kinda stale mated by nerfing all the really good builds and not buffing anything else so that it just kinda settled in mediocracy.

I've heard Champions Online could be good but that it is also dying. Any other PvP games that I should play?

Soul of the Ultimate nation. It's free, has some fast fighting, and has the right amount of challenge. Also, all the characters are pretty freking balanced, and after level 20, you'll get a lot of PVP.

If the big budget games aren't good enough for your PvP tastes, I seriously doubt any low budget ones will suit your taste...sorry.

I remember luring noobs in to the wilderness and killing them when I got deep enough. Classic times.

Oh man, those were the days.

I remember me and my friends would set up ambushes...

Ah, the good ol' days.

I would reccomend none, im sure you can do better, funnier things with your time and friends than playing a MMO.. but thats just my point of view on the matter.

I have a lot of fun laying Guild Wars.
But this wouldn't be the case if I didn't have my mates, and we just play Guild Wars and talk on Skype while doing so, cracking jokes and making fun of stereotypes in the game.

Atlantica had some good PVP when I played it. although its turned based so i'm not sure if its what your looking for. its worth a shot however, seeing as its free.

I've played all the ones you have mentioned, as well as Conan and Champions Online. The new updated Conan is actually pretty good, and pretty cheap to pick up. I can't say I'd recommend Champions Online. I played it for a while, but expensive respecs (or Retcons as they are called) pissed me off, and it got pretty repetitive quickly. I've started playing WoW again after a lengthy break, but I'm biding my time for The Old Republic.

If you want PvP I have to say either Guild Wars or Atlantica Online.

Guild Wars is not only a great game with interesting classes, but the PvP is excellent. If you do put in the time to get with a good PvP group then nothing comes close to how awesome Guild Wars can be, it seems you already have Guild Wars so the only thing you would lose is time.

Atlantica Online (Not on your list so far) has some of the most interesting PvP I have seen in any MMO to date, very tactical and for a FTP MMO the game is amazingly solid.

Avoid Age of Conan like the plague... Champions Online also.

City of Heroes used to have fun and interesting PvP, but they recently made dramatic changes to PvP that sucked the life out it and sent damn near all of the PvP'ers off to Aion and WoW.
