Fine I will! Wait, I thought Louis was the franchises whipping boy. Seriously he looks like a zombie. I think Metro 2033 is a great albeit deeply flawed game. It's the autosave system really. Screw up at the right point and you'll have to restart from the very beginning.

I don't think this qualifies as heresy for most of the Escapist community but I disapprove of culture's new focus on getting laid with as many people as possible and being disrespectful to be cool. *snip*
I don't know where you've been but this isn't a new trend in society. This was popular when I was in high school, 12 years ago.
Touche'. I forgot about it's roots in the "sexual revolution." I guess I just notice it more from the OH MY GOD BILLBOARD HAVE SEX HAVE SEX USE NEEDLES WOMEN ARE HOT style advertising and not so disguised themes of current TV than I do from the early 90's and before culture that I've been exposed to.

Halo is incredibly pretentious when it comes to its story, it tries to make it seem like sacrifice must be made to complete a mission. Unfortunately, with some of the worse character development in an FPS, it ensures that this never works out.

Age of Mythology was better then Age of Empires 2.

I'd prefer Episode 3 to Portal 2 any day.

The first Diablo was terrible.

I dont think The Beatles is the best band ever
I have never played Half-Life, or any Final Fantasy
I have never beaten a Zelda Game or a Mario Game
I dont game on the PC (used to play WoW, that was it)
I prefer a controller over a keyboard and mouse for shooters
I have to agree with you about the Beatles. Their music doesn't bother me, but I'm starting to wonder if our generation is just too ashamed to admit to our collective apathy.
Like i admit they inspired a lot of other bands, but i think The Who did so much more. They were the first to do the whole Rock Opera thing, and the year after Tommy was released another couple Dozen Rock Operas was released by other bands. Plus they wrote an anthem(sp?) for an entire generation....What im not biased towards the Who at all.

I prefer GFWL to Steam
sorta makes sense, GFWL has the pro that you dont have to start it before actually starting the game, and takes a couple seconds to log in, but it doesnt update games on it's own without loading the game before
GFWL is the worst program I've ever used.

I've never played a megaman game or final fantasy.

as the topic says, let's have a little fun thread.

the point is, tell your unforgivable acts to the world

mine are:

I never liked ET: the movie, I always found it to be incredibly cheesy to the point of boring

I havent seen any of the Lord of the Rings movies and just read the first book

my favorite game from my childhood was, god forgive me for this, SuperMan 64

also, I never played any Warcraft game, not even World of Warcraft

so escapists, what are your little acts of heresy?
I agree about e.t. its not that good.

I find Starcraft to be a twitchy, unforgiving mess. You make a mistake, you get ground up by invisible stats modifiers.

I actually made an account here just to add to this topic, as I feel a lot of things in my life are considered heresy by others.

I absolutely agree with you, couldn't stand that film. I also don't like any of the Star Wars or Lord of the Rings films. In my opinion the Bladerunner series is waaaaaay overrated.

I've never seen any of the Back the the Future films.

I love cheese, but hate cheeseburgers and chips with cheese. They're disgusting.

I've never enjoyed a Mario game (or played one through to the end for that matter), but I LOVED Wario Land 3 and played that game to death.

I don't like multiplayer games. I feel that other people interrupt my game experience by being idiots or wanting to talk to me.

I'm a programmer but have no interest in how computers work, and would have no idea how to build my own given the opportunity.

I think Final Fantasy X & XII are the best FF games ever made. I couldn't get into VII because I thought Cloud was a moaney tosser. I also know all the words to the 'Thousand Words' song from Final Fantasy X-2 :/

I love it every time they bring out new Pokemon.

I thought Star Ocean: The Last Hope was fantastic (never played any other Star Ocean games) and Tales of Vesperia was utter trash.

I prefer animals to people, and in a 'burning building' situation would probably rescue any trapped animals first.

My copy of Mass Effect (1) is still sealed and sitting on my shelf. I can't seem to find the will to play it.

I could probably go on for hours here, but I won't bore you any further :D

I "don't like" WoW and Starcraft with a passion.
I think Ocarina Of Time was only an average game.
I liked portal, but for now I somehow doubt that I will like portal 2 as well.
Same for the new TRON game.... but I also hope I'm wrong with that.
Oh, and I'm no real "fanboy" of anything. how tragic.

I hate the Modern Warfare games. I didn't like the first Starcraft game. I didn't like any Sonic game after the first. I don't like gamepads for any game.

I think that's it... for now.

Have you played Portal though? I didn't appreciate it either until I actually played the game, after which I found it absolutely hilarious.

I've always liked the movie eXistenZ
I think Mike is better than Joel.
I will resort to cheap tactics if I can't win a game.
I think the Adrian Lyne version of Lolita is better than the Kuberick one.
I'm an atheist; so according to the rumour mill that means I want to eat your children, kill your family and destroy Christmas.

I haven't watched the Star Wars series since I was around 5, and can't remember any of it.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the PS3.

I haven't read/watched most of the "must see" series.
