I'd be able to accept those, either reinforcements or defendersSigma Castell said:Are Legio Mechanicus or Ordo Reductor characters allowed?
Everything checks out, accepted.UnusualStranger said:Name:Samuel (Sam) Vicktus
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Appearance: Sam is tall, tough, and built. He knows the reputation of the Elysian Drop Troopers follows him, and he has tried his damnedest to stay on top of it as best he can. He has largely kept most of his equipment in fine order, and a tight grip on it due to the fact that it has kept him alive through this deployment. Mark XII Carapace Armour which has seen more than its share of replacement (and additional plates) throughout the combat for the times where he did take, either through a splatter of acid from too close a call from his Melta gun, or just from fire he had taken from the few Eldar still on the planet.
Rank: Sergeant
Personality: Sam is cynical of everything at best, and downright hopeless at worst. However, he presents it in a way of which that they shouldn't worry if they are doomed, as they were doomed from the start. While there is a small anger burning at Sam due to not being able to do his jumps that he had spent years perfecting in boarding, ambushes, and other quick strikes, but he has accepted that fate for now. Until he can get back to the skys, he's taken to sometimes telling the men who he is with that since their days might be ending, that they might as well always have a grenade on them, just so when the crawling bastards possibly get to them they can blow them up.
Regiment: 408th Elysian Drop Troopers
Salvaged equipment: Along with the typical Mark IV Accatran Pattern Lasgun, he has also deemed it necessary to pick up a Meltagun after a particularly close encounter left him grabbing the best and biggest gun that would serve the need of killing. The Meltagun proved to be the perfect devastating choice, which he now keeps with him at all times for when he doesn't need to shoot something farther away with his Lasgun. Also at his side is a bolter pistol, which he collected after happening upon a fallen group of guards while retreating back to the city. Knowing the weapon would be useful, more so than his laspistol at least, he collected it and carried onward.
Bio: Sam grew up on Elysia, largely pushing himself to be a soldier from the start. He worked out, did his duty as a citizen, and as soon as he turned 18 was going towards being an Imperial Guard, specifically Elysian PDF in order to get his time in. He knew that it would be required in order to get to the much more risky and dangerous Drop Troopers to prove that he was worth his metal, as well as perhaps find some way to meet intergalactic saviors which were the Space Marines. While he continued his tour and training, his view began to shift from rather than being a soldier, looking to now instead just survive the battles that he ended up in.
As his tours began to expand in scope, so did the skills of Sam, learning the finer intricacies of leaping from a ship to the ground to cause havoc, the boarding actions of leaping from ship to ship to blast a pirate in the face, or an intergalactic xeno. After his tours for the PDF ended, he then found himself dropping other worlds, with many other soldiers. Torched earth tactics began to turn to second nature, which sometimes meant having to use flamers to make sure to do wide range of destruction, or just dropping explosives and leaving the place to its fate. The position on Vrexas IV was proving to be a little bit of a different style, with initially the Eldar being harder to ambush with their typical disappearing nature. However, once they were gone the Tyranids making an appearance was a lot more trouble for Sam.
While initial scorched earth did their part in slowing some of the hordes down, as squad members died in the ambushes and what delaying factors could be taken, it eventually came to a point in which instead of ambushes they now mounted heavy bolters, motors, lasguns from the wall...anything to now hold the hordes off from the city as it became obvious that there would be no more ambushes, no more delaying actions. Just pumping rounds into anything outside of the wall. There were some plans on trying to sneak into the city among the few Drop Troopers that had been left, but as the sound of gunfire became a constant through the day and night, it became obvious that there were no routes out of the city other than the tunnels being worked on. With word on reinforcements on the way due to what they had found in the tunnels, Sam and what is left of his squad-mates now hope to be able to take to the sky eventually once again.
Other:While Sam is primarily a Drop Trooper through and through, he does have some ability as a Valkyrie pilot due to the extensive ship-to-ship training that was part of his tour. He also has a new appreciation for the heavier, slower moving weapons like the heavy bolters as they provide excellent cover...and ability to take down multitudes of tyranids.
I'll still be accepting sheets as I am busy until then as well.drmigit2 said:I can start working on a sheet Wednesday when my finals are over. Hopefully you will still be accepting sheets by then.
To everybody else, since I'm a bit busy I will be extending the deadline for sheets until Wednesday/Thursday and will probably start Friday. I hope this isn't too much of a inconvenience
