Name: Ixion Caligari
Gender: Male
Age: 25

Apperance: Ixon is marked for battle, despite his young age. Due to the trials involved in Imperial Marksman training, he was often hit with las-shot from the other trainees. While this left no debilitating injury, the burn scars left an interesting map on his fair face, offsetting his icy eyes and jet-black hair.

Ixion is as lanky as you can get away with while still being a guardsman. Lean body and muscles show that his legs are the most powerful asset he has, which is helpful given his position. His black and red armor is striped in a very subtle pattern, befitting both his subtle role and deadly abilities.

Bio: Ixion was born on the hiveworld of Lasdrati, and was so incredibly bored of his lot as a noble child he turned to mercenary work. Arming himself with all sorts of knives and long rifles, he set out to the streets of the hiveworld to shoot his way to an honest living. The winding and twisty streets proved to hone his marksmanship skills, but one does not always hit what they intend...

A stray shot hit a civilian, and the Asartes were called to arrest him. He went without complaint, knowing that this would not be the end of his life if he sat down and shut up. Sure enough, the interrogator received word that the victim had not died from their wounds, and offered Ixion a chance to atone.

Imperial Guardsmanship.

Quickly the officers realized where Ixion's true potentials lie, and sent him to Marksmanship academy. There he was pitted against other trainees, and eventually graduated with sufficient marks for active duty. Along the way, he picked up a healthy respect for the Emperor, and felt no trouble in having to shoot things in his name for the rest of his life.

Sadly, nobody told young Ixion that he wasn't headed for Imperial Guardsmanship, rather, he was going straight to the Penal Legions. Ixion spent those first nights awake in fear, wondering exactly how some commissar would order his stupid, stupid death. Only later did he look up his assignment, the 13th Penal Legion, also known as the Last Chancers. In other words, the elite one.

So, back to shooting things then.

Rank: Private

Personality: Ixion is about as fun-loving as you can get for an assassin. He's not much down about having to kill things in the name of the Imperial Cult, considering he was killing things for cash before, anyway. He knows when to shut up, befitting his Marksman Training, but outside of it being immediately fatal you can expect some backtalk.

Regiment: 13th Penal Legion

Vehicle: Ixion has received a traditional Tallarn Pattern Sentinel, unmodified. It is armed with a Multi-Laser. It normally has larger feet than the other Sentinel patterns to provide better balance on the loose sand of the battle zones it is used in, but the original feet have been restored plus additional traction to allow easier movement in uneven terrain. It is manufactured with only a partially armoured canopy, allowing Ixion to snipe from inside should he so choose.

Other: Maximinus and his regiment has been Gharex for five weeks they're running low on ammo and supplies, so bad that they've started rationing both of them and though morale is they holding strong.....for now, the Xeno Horde scum will no doubt break through eventually but they must hold the line until The Liberation fleet arrives.
I'm sorry to tell you this but since he's an actual Commissar, he can't have started as a regular trooper and be promoted to Commissar. Commissars [http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Commissar#.U3Q1IPmSzw8] have their own branch in the Imperial Guard.

He's also a bit OP if you're saying that he's a master strategist and he seems to lack any weakness in his personality.

I just have a major problem with his back story where he shoots a civilian and somehow gets away. Any slight in the Imperium and they are thrown into jail so your character strikes me as one who belongs in a Penal Legion, which I would be able to accept. The Tanith 1st and Only also seems really out there.

Well, I figured it happened that A) He's from a noble house, and the Asartes can be very forgiving with the proper credits, and B) He didn't actually kill anyone, so getting conscripted would be punishment enough. The Tanith Legion seemed to be a good regiment to be scouted for, considering they're all about the stealthy shooty stuff.

Can we play as the Sisters Hospilitaler?
Good question. Show me a sheet and I'll see because I'm mostly going for Imperial Guardsmen/auxiliaries but if you have a really good reason as to why one of them would be on Vrexas then I'll accept you. Having the inquisition in this RP is gonna make things a little hairy for what I had in mind.
Oh, the Sisters Hospilatler (not to be confused with the Sisters of Battle) aren't part of the Inquisition (though neither are the Sisters of Battle). Sisters Hospilatalers are more like a combination of wartime nurses and battlefield medics. They usually join Imperial Guard battles to provide physical and spiritual support outside the battlefield.

Name: Sister Bethany

Gender: Female

Age: 40

Apperance: 5' 3", standard female military body type (all Adepta Sororitas are to be trained battle-ready, even if it isn't there primary job). Asian Skin Type Wears battle-scared Sisters Hospitaller gear, which covers most facial features. One eye grey, other one bionic (helps identify wounds). White hair visible when out of hat. Has tatoo of cross on organic eye.

Rank: Sister Superior (Equivalent to Sergeant, though there are too few)

Personality: In the rare times outside of battle, Sister Bethany spends most of her time either tending to physical wounds or singing holy hymns of the Imperium. Though she will not neglect her duties to provide spiritual help to those who needs it, she will mostly direct these people to the Priests. In battle, she displays a suicidal bravery against the foe. Seemingly (and some say needlessly) throwing herself into danger to save a patient or protect someone. She also sings powerful hymns (though she won't when there is need for stealth).

Regiment: Currently attached to a Mechanized Infantry

Salvaged Equipment: Out of her standard gear, she still has her bolt pistol (though she has run out of ammo long ago), a laspistol that does have ammo, her Sister Hospilatller Body Armour (Equivalent to Carapace Armour), and a medi-kit attached to her arm to administer drugs (or poisons) into the system. She has a large knife for both medical and defense purposes.

Bio: Landing with Task Force Sabre, Sister Bethany was a fresh recruit from the Schoala Progenium. Despite the heavy losses in the original war, most of the Sisters Hospiltaler survived to form a Hospital/Temple in Eluxis. Unfortunately, the place was one of the first places targeted when the city fell. The few survivors were dispatched among the various regiments to help raise the pitifully low morale.

Name: Barrow Holthreat

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Apperance: Has a stocky frame. Blonde with Green Eyes. Caucasian skin. No facial hair. Has tattoo of the Aquila on both of his hands.

Rank: Vehicle Commander

Personality: Loud and Boistrous, Barrow was famous for being the loud barroom friend everyone knows. Has a bit too much confidence in his importance as well as his survival due to his position of being in a Chimera. Only person that can shut him up seems to be Sergeant Myra

Regiment: Mechanized Infantry

Vehicle: Chimera, with two Heavy Bolters attached

Bio: Lived on a industrial planet that specializes in Chimera building. Was "generously" drafted by the Magos to get his brash attitude out of the planet.

Name: Sergeant Myra Holmes

Gender: Female

Age: 25

Apperance: Muscular Body Frame. Purple Hair and eyes. Latino skin color.

Rank: Sergeant

Personality: No Nonsense personality

Regiment: Mechanized Infantry

Vehicle: Uses the same vehicle Barrow Drives. Myra's team uses lasguns and knives. Myra carries a chainsword and a laspistol. Specialists include a meltagun owner, a long-las specialist, and a flamer user (may get character sheets later)

Bio: TBD

Do you mean Adeptus Arbites? Asartes are Space Marines. Even so, I don't think anyone in the Imperium would be so lax on the rules regardless if they are nobles or not. Arbites are basically Judge Dredds and they will uphold the law. To quote from the 40K Lexicanum [http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Adeptus_Arbites#.U3R-xPmSzw8], "Utterly dedicated and without mercy, the Arbites are feared throughout the galaxy, for they are the agents of a harsh law, where failure and incompetence are crimes, and the only punishment is death. Arbites are empowered to act as judge, jury and executioner-citizens have no rights, and only members of the Priesthood of Terra or the Inquisition could claim anything so elaborate as a trial."

Alright, fair point. Your characters look good, a bit barebones though and one of your characters is missing a bio. I don't mind barebones characters but a bio would be appreciated.

Name: Olivia Fryersworth

Gender: Female

Age: 26

Appearance: The guards woman stands at five six, a slender but toned build that shows the years of the IG service she's had. Now only two years from a decade of service, has the figure to show she doesn't mess around.

Shorter black hair sits atop her head, only kept a bit messy and lazily brushed to the side. So it stays out of her eyes and out of he way. When it's let down, it falls down to just under her chin in terms of length. She also has a set of dark purple eyes, due to an incident in warp transit to a battlefield, giving her a rather creepy stare.

In tank, she usually wears a tank top, a flak armor vest and standard military issue cargo pants with military boots. She also has a commander's cap and a pseudo leather jacket she likes to slip over the flak vest, giving her a mean appearance and some respect.

Rank: Vehicle Commander

Personality: tries to be happy and optimistic about things, but gets serious whenever it is needed.

Regiment: 89th armored cadian

-Vehicle: Leman Russ Conqueror
-Pattern: Gryphonne IV
-Turret weapon(s): conqueror cannon w/ co-axial storm bolter
-Pintle weapon: heavy stubber
-Sponson weapons: two Flamers
-Hull weapon: storm bolter.
-Additional gear on the tank:
Extra armor, tread protectors, dozer blade and improved suspension.
-History of vehicle: involve in numerous campaigns, the most recent and successful command has been Olivia. The tank has taken hits, but they've never actually lost the tank, only crew members in the sponson guns. Because of having to work her way up through the positions in the tank, Olivia has come to know the workings of the tank well and even services the engine any time she has an extended amount of down time. This has led to the governors on the engine to be disabled over time, giving the tank much better performance than it's governed brothers.

Commander: Olivia
Gunner: Jessica
Driver: Robert
Loader:Jeffry
L. Sponson gunner: Frank
R. Sponson gunner: Nine (like the number)

Bio: Growing up with the standard cadian childhood, which involved playing wargames with her friends and imperium military propaganda out the ass. When she graduated standard school, just like her friends, she signed up for the military.

Her service since then put her in a tank. Mainly because the 89th needed replacements and she was in the new recruitment batch. Over the span of a two year period, she worked her way up to the rank of vehicle commander. From that point on, she commanded the tank with a cool head and a trait that few in the IG had, hope. She always kept up moral of those around her and tried to has a smile on her face most of the time. Ofcourse this Drew the ire of a few commissars, but she's always been respectful.

Other: two things:
1. The mechanicus has been pressing her to join them because of her skills with maintaining the vehicle.
2. She keeps her guardsmen primer in perfect condition, making sure it's always easily accessible to her. Not for respect of it, but fear of a commissar asking for it and not having it.
I hope this is ok. I know the backstory is a bit smaller, but I flesh out characters much more in game.

Her personality you could flesh out some more but otherwise its fine for the most part.

Also I've made a very basic map of Gharex for reference. Shoutout to Terratina for showingthe program. Along with the map is some information of the layout of the city and its defenses.

Dark grey is the taller inner walls, inner walls are armed with the heavier/artillery guns along with anti-aircraft cannons
Light grey is the thicker outer walls, outer walls armed with bolters, auto-cannons, rockets, etc.
White is the rest of the city
Towers are the command/overlook towers
Imperial reinforcements will come from the eastern and western approach. Moderate to heavy resistance to be expected
Defenders will start defending a Tyranid large attack from southeast and southwest approaches

I'm closing deadlines soon so anyone interested has today to hand in a sheet. Anyone I told to make changes in the sheet also should do so before I decide who's in.

hopefully I can get in not just because I really want to but also because I've gotten bored with everything else and I think this RP may help, Hmm Interesting I've just come up with a battle plan for the start with my guy and while that happens I can throw in the odd threat here and there to scare the troopers into not retreating

If I didn't accept you then I'm sorry. If this RP lasts long enough, I'll do another character pull. If you're wondering why I didn't accept you then its either of an issue I had in the character or there simply isn't enough space. Thanks to everyone that submitted a sheet!
