I was just sitting here and suddenly after using it for 9 years, I saw it the way our parents and grandparents must see it. Like, we're so goddamn desensitized to the tech we grew up with, but they have got to have a f****** mindsh** whenever we show them some new f****** thing on the internet. "Holy f***, what? You mean if I'm wondering what the names and abilites are of all the Thundercats, I can just f****** roll over in bed, grab up the laptop and f****** WATCH IT? Or go to Wikipedia and find out every f****** thing about it? You must be JOKING.When I was your age I had to walk to a LIBRARY to learn something, now I can just GOOGLE it on the SHITTER?"

Point is, I'm just come out as the first person to say it...

THANK YOU AL GORE.

(P.s. The phrase "GOOGLE on the SHITTER?!" Is patent pending. I don't want to see that on a f****** T-shirt. GOT IT?)

I stayed up for 3 hours learning seriously EVERYTHING about The Power Rangers. This was three days ago. That show was on in fucking 1994. That's ridiculous.

Haha yeah I guess you're right about that. Technology is both a blessing an a curse. Sometimes if I go to bed at night thinking about some stupid subject, I'll have to turn on my laptop to research it before I can fall asleep. I don't think I'd have had that problem if I needed to go to a local library to get the info.

Annoying thing is that I'd had to teach several family-members to use the internet because they're tech-illiterate. *Sigh*

Offtopic: You might want to tone the swearing down a little mate, I don't think the mods mind a bit of curse-words, but excessive swearing can get you on probation/suspended :)

I abuse wikipedia to hell so I can prove one of my film buff friends wrong... he knows who he is.

It's kind of funny though, his knowledge he's built up over the years of going to the cinema and taking various film courses Vs. my ability to search wikipedia.

Yes, I love getting side tracked reading on Wikipedia. Just the other day I spent hours reading about the state of Russia's army after the fall of the Soviet Union...

I even played a game about it, Start on a random article, say, "Spartan Military Training in Ancient Greece" and then click on a link that is the most furthest from the subject matter in the article, say, "Boat" then try and find your way back without clicking back.

Al Gore didn't invent the internet or Google so why are you thanking him?
Al Gore totally invented the internet. He is King Internet, protector of the memes and ruler of all he surveys, from the shining shores of 4chan to the snowy mountains of Facebook.

I've been sitting here watching your avatar for the last two minutes. It goes brilliantly with Pendulum's Out Here. Heh.

OT: Yup. Isn't techonology wonderful.

Though for a proper story nothing beats a good old, solid book. Reading on the internet sucks, and Kindles? Bah. Awful. Books ftw.

Err... oops!

On-topic: I'm the person who ends up less impressed than occasionally warranted. Sometimes I think back to before I had the internet, and it just doesn't seem right lol... where did my time go?!
