Lol whos the judgmental one now? Dante has always had his emo moments thats not why am mad. you blindly juged on why am mad making you no better then me in your eyes. I will denie it for what i represents it represints capcom just wanting more sales so they westernize it. They are taking away and destroying one of the best series. They are gettingrid of Lady trish, nero, vergil. there just rebooting and getting rid of a graet setting and not answering th questions we had. They simply just wanted more western sales. i absolutely LOVED the old dante, what have you done with him ninja theory! i would have gone gay for dante! well, heres hoping that this is actually before DMC3 so that he doesnt have any of his demonic powers or hes not at full strength, maybe before he gets his shop, but why get rid of the cool white hair! /rant
I am a massive Devil May Cry fan, been with the series since the first game, and to be honest i quiet like the new Dante, plus the style seems pretty great.
Also to the people saying "oh theres know Vergil, no Lady!" How exactly do you know that? this is the first teaser trailer, they havnt even said th plot of the game. So im going to give this game a chance to give us something new and interesting, since DMC4 was a bit stale.

I honestly still stand by my statment. I've invested so much into Dante he feels like a friend everytime i play the game i chuckle when i see the familer characters like lady routinley rip him off. Even the books i bought the magnas to there all great. hell i even bought the red queen replica and kyris present. I was even talking to friend who loves the games just as me telling me "I didnt like the way dante was going he was to jokey they ruined what he use to be but what capcom is doing is just greedy. I may argue with the guy everyday but he has a good point they were greedy so they just cut and ran. I hate what this game is and hate what it repersents and if you were a real fan you'd understand. Am sure the gameplay will be great but what it represents is disgusting and i hope it crashes and burns.
This character is clearly not the dante we've all come to love, but every character has their beginnings. Dante can't have been the badass we know since birth (well, he could and it would be awesome, but lets ignore that). They seem to have justified the lack of white hair and such from a story perspective and while some may hate the emo-teenager-look that is justified in some ways too. If they make it work in the context of the story and do something like having his demonic traits develop as you progress through the game they could make something fairly interesting. He's still fairly cocky as you can see from how he nonchalantly puts out his cigarette in a demon's face. Lets just not kill this before it has a chance to prove its awfulness.
right, ive found something i like about this new dante (but thats because its me being patriotic :L) he has a british flag on his jacket and he is actually using ebony and ivory (his pistols) if he didnt have them 2 traits my head would explode and change the course of time creating the old dante in this re-boot
Its a reboot. its as far away from the orginal plotline as possible. the scariest thought is this could spawn its own series.mParadox said:
