I've been trying out the high stick sensitivity in COD4 recently and I can't decide if it's a help or a hindrance.

It's handy being able to turn quicker but I find my aiming is just shoddy when I have the sensitivity high. Maybe it just takes a little getting used to.

Do you use high sensitivity online and do you find it to be an advantage?

I am rather steady handed. I can be quite precise in games, so high sensitivity is better for me.

Stick sensivity? Sorry, but i'm a PC gamer, and mouse is much more handy for aiming - i don't need to change mouse sensivity in games whatsoever.

I go for medium-low. It might slow down my turns, but I get better precision, and it matches the same speed as people can run in most games.

I play on 4 or 5, I can't remember which. I played on low for a long time, but I decided that was just too slow. I knocked it up a few more notches and I play better. Any higher, though, and I would lose control of my aim. I can't play on really high sensitivity.

I usually use high sensitivity, I'm used to it and can't stand anything else.

And yes, I feel like it's an advantage. The turning speed is great for run n' gun and knifing.

Trying not to be snide here...

Most of us are already well aware that PC users find a mouse to be better than a controller.

It gets said A LOT.

The very rare times I'm using a stick to aim it is set to highest, but only if slow movements can be done with slight pushes.

I have it on 7, I have definitely been playing better since then. Obviously not due to the higher sensitivity but the movement it allows me.

I normally use fairly high settings, about a 10-11 on Source Engine games (like TF2, HL2/ep1/ep2 and CSS)

For all console shooters: Highest setting> leave it there.

It's eaier to learn the finesse for making aiming adjustments than it is to develop the precognition needed for the 180 shoot 180 degree shoot maneuver so often needed online, applies doubly when melee weapons get involved, you will be losing fights if the other gut can turn around faster than you...
... on PC it's much the same except I usually have a 180 turn button stowed away on X.

Regardless of what the actual sensitivity is you're probably best off going with the highest sensitivity you can consistently produce accurate movements with. I'm referring to both console sticks and mice.
