I typically tweak the aiming up a notch from default, or leave it as is. Otherwise aiming becomes a matter of twitch reflexes.

I usually just leave it on middle for most games, because with high I end up shooting my teammates that are behind me, and with low I end up shooting the wall to the left/right of the enemy.

My sensitivity is on Very High for cod4. Up there for cod5 as well (but who plays that... lol)
I have good reaction and control so when I play games so I'll crank it up as high as I can while being able to control it. I find it fun to challenge myself to play with some of the even higher sensitivities.

i play on 8.... what i reccommend for you is to slowly work your way up so u get used to it... then it will be like moving at normal speed..

I typically play on either 3 or the high setting. 3 if I want more precision, high if I want to be able to see what's shooting at me from behind.

I am rather steady handed. I can be quite precise in games, so high sensitivity is better for me.

Usually high sensitivity
But do you guys feel it to be an advantage?
Definitely an advantage. The fact that I gain the advantage of quick turning, and that I still maintain good accuracy makes it a superiority.

My advice; learn to be accurate with high sensitivity. If you are unable to perform with high accuracy, it might be either the surface on which your mouse resides on, or your mouse. The third cause can be that you are a n00b.

My hand steadiness is barely better than a Parkinson's disease sufferer, so I put the sensitivity down to a much lower setting lest I have the aim with a weapon of a Parkinson's victim.

Stick sensivity? Sorry, but i'm a PC gamer, and mouse is much more handy for aiming - i don't need to change mouse sensivity in games whatsoever.
Same goes for me. I have a Logitech G5 2000dpi mouse, which has on-the-fly sensitivity switching.

Love it to death!

Or maybe fourth... my aiming isn't as skilled as some players.

I hardly think that constitutes being a 'noob'.

God, I hate that word...

Depends on the game. For COD4 I usually play around 4 or 5, same for halo. I play tf2 the console version(yes i know the computer version is better) with very high sensitivity, and then i play gears on very high.

It would appear you didn't detect my mockery of the word. I was using it as ridicule.

Some people are steady handed, and some aren't. If you feel that you are completely ridiculous in high sensitivity, you might be better of using either middle or low. But if you think a little of practice will solve your issue, I say try and play with it for a while.

It depends on how long I've been playing that particular game. If I play the game fairly regularly I can keep the look sensitivity on the highest setting, but if I go to long without playing I loose my ability to do that.

It's funny, high sensitivity seems to be a lot easier for berzerker running and gunning with an mp5 but when I go back to my trusty AK47 it just flies all over the place when I try to use it...

I think it is indeed just a matter of practice, my buddy uses high and says its a big advantage.

Thanks for the advice... not bad for a 'nOOb' :p

I use a lower setting to give me maximum accuarcy and since i hate getting up close it works. If it looks like a close quarter map i'll dial it up to make turn speed fast and i don't need to aim as often.

I still prefer first person shooters on the computer though...much nicer.
